SHORT VERSION: For those who do not want to read the entire review, let me break it down. These are incredible, and worth every penny. I have used them professionally for a few years, and they have never let me down. If you are looking for a incredible CF card, you have found it.

LONG VERSION: To start, let met start off by saying that I am a professional wedding photographer. We photograph roughly between 25-35 weddings a year. We currently have 5 Canon cameras, and 6 of these Sandisk Extreme Pro 128gb Compact Flash cards. The ages range from about 3 years old, to 3 months old. This year alone, we will have taken roughly 4 Terabytes of raw photos. 100% of our photos will have gone through these Extreme Pro cards.

Out of the entire time I have owned these cards, they have never let me down. I have never had a failure, never had a corruption. Our cameras are set up with two memory card slots. Most are 1 CF and 1 SD. We also use Sandisk Extreme Pro SD 128gb cards. Our cameras are set to write RAW to both.

These cards are the fastest CF that Sandisk offers. The speed not only helps when writing to the card itself (Most cameras max out at about 50-60MBs) but when you are downloading them back to your computer. Thats where they really shine. Use a Lexar HR1 4 bay hub. We have 4 cards downloading at once, and the fast 160MBs speed helps with time.

I have attached a screen shot of a speed test performed one of these cards. It was performed by a USB 3 Lexar CFR1 reader. The speeds are lower than what is rated, but that could be my USB3 reader, and not the actual card.

When shopping for memory cards, there are several brands. But I 100% believe that Sandisk are the best. We use Sandisk exclusively in every camera we own.

I was not reimbursed in any way for this review.

Pros:

Extremely reliable

Relatively inexpensive for the size

Fastest Speeds that Sandisk Offers

Cons:

Not the cheapest on the market.

TIPS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF IT:

For proper data management, you should ALWAYS format (not delete) your card inside the camera. Every single time. For proper workflow, it should be downloaded to a computer, put back in the camera, and then formatted. That will ensure that your data is as safe as possible. That has been my workflow, and I have never had a corruption issue.

Seller sent memory well wrapped and by USPS it arrived early and it’s a perfect purchase for me.

I ran the memory read/write software to be sure it operated at speed displayed. On USB 2.0 it read and wrote at approximately 28 Meg per second which is exactly what should happen on 2.0 hardware. I tested it in the camera and it ran through all the speed burst without any trouble of the buffer being full and freezing while shooting.

A definite savings for me , a third off retail is nice even though it’s used this type memory rarely ever fails.

No complaints with this CF card. The read/write speeds are excellent. I could go larger capacity card but 32GB is perfect when it comes time to do all of my post editing. SanDisk has been my reliable tool in all of my photography or memory needs.

This works really well in my Nikon D700. The camera is able to write fast in burst mode. I LOVE the high capacity.

Best there is!!!

Great card I stepped up to this from 8GB 30 MB/s CF and 32GB 80MB/s sd cards (which seemed to have similar performance in use). Compared to those 2 cards this transformed both Canon 1d IV and my 5d mkIII. On the 1D IV I have not hit my buffer limit and it clears nearly instantly. Shooting motorsports this lets me hit every car I want to using high speed frame rate on the opening lap AND have time to review my images while I'm waiting for them to come around again. On the 5dIII I am more likely to hit the buffer (still a rare occasion), but it clears quickly, again giving me a chance to review images while waiting for the cars to come around again. With my old cards sometimes the buffer hadn't even cleared by the start of the second lap. If you shoot action (or video) This (or another cards of similar speed) is one of the best investments you can make - It can literally add new life to older gear!

As for the capacity I do like not having to change cards frequently, although with such a fast card I have found myself taking more photos during a session, and there is always that "all your eggs in one basket" issue should the card get lost or camera stolen with a days shooting still in it.

First up IMO a five star review should only be reserved for products that EXCEED expectations. no product that does what it's supposed to do should get extreme praise. So this one does what it should, record my images as fast as my camera's cache can dump to it and gets a fair four star rating.

My 120MB/s "Extreme" that I bought lagged behind my fast shutter speed and internal camera memory and dropped some images.

That said, in ALL camera applications there are things to be aware of which applies to all memory cards used in a camera.

1. Format the card in the device you're going to use it in.

2. Trying to force it in upside down may crack the card or bend the pins in your camera / device.

3. USB transfer may beat card removal due to the possibility of #2 above.

4. If your camera / device has the ability to write simultaneously to TWO CF cards it's a very good idea to have two installed. A Pro simply cannot tell a client the shoot went bad because a memory card failed. Also, a memorable private event like a wedding, Bar Mitzvah, Christening, baby pix, or vacation is worth the cost of a redundant memory card and is well worth the added expense.

I recently purchased a Canon 5D MK3 to get back into photography and to also try unleashing its filmmaking capabilities via Magic Lantern. This CF card is compatible with the camera and is perfectly capable of recording 14-bit RAW lossless 1080P footage without breaking a sweat. I haven’t attempted higher resolutions due to being a noob when it comes to Magic Lantern and the quality of the footage being more than enough for my use case. I can’t say the card isn’t worth the money, but I just thought they would’ve gotten cheaper over the years. All in all, it’s worth it to get great footage.

Muy rápida, la mejor

速度/容量とも問題なし。

Excellente carte mémoire,ça réputation n'est plus à faire.
