Comhaltas Ceoltóirí ÉireannComhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Gathering of Musicians of Ireland the largest group involved in the preservation and promotion of Irish traditional music. We’re a non-profit cultural movement with hundreds of local branches throughout Ireland and around the world.
A community and volunteer based organisation, ComhaltasComhaltas Association, gathering, brotherhood has been providing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds, but especially the young, to enjoy and participate in the traditions of Ireland since 1951.

What’s happening at Comhaltas
The Irish Festival of Oulu Festival of Oulu, organised by the Oulu Comhaltas Branch in Finland, will take place from 23rd-27th September 2026.
The festival will feature Irish music, storytelling, dance, music workshops, dance courses, multiple daily Irish music sessions, Irish food and much more.

Launch of the Irish Festival of Oulu Finland.
Príomh Reachtaire Brendan McAleer attended the launch of the upcoming @irishfestoulu this evening which is organised by the Oulu branch of Comhaltas.
Guests were treated to a taste of what they can expect to see during the festival which takes place from the 23rd-27th Sept.
Thank you to Ambassador Leena Gardemeister and the staff at the @finlandinireland Embassy of Finland in Dublin for hosting a special reception.

Applications are now open for the Preparatory TTCT Course
The Preparatory TTCT is designed to give foundation skills in teaching Irish traditional music to potential applicants who may not yet have acquired the experience necessary for the TTCT course. This one day course is open to everyone over the age of 16 and is delivered in person at various locations as well as online (International candidates only for online course).
