Former U.S. Attorney Joe diGenova is pushing back after comments he made following his abrupt departure from the Justice Department’s sweeping investigation into the government’s years-long targeting of President Trump sparked controversy.
The Gateway Pundit reported this afternoon that diGenova had abruptly resigned after just five months on the job. Cristina Laila’s breaking piece noted the move came after the Justice Department had already removed career Miami prosecutor Maria Medetis earlier this year for “stonewalling and slow-walking charges against John Brennan.”

The federal prosecutor who was tapped by Attorney General Todd Blanche to supervise the "grand conspiracy" investigation targeting Obama- and Biden-era officials, resigned unexpectedly on Thursday.
Blanche selected Joe diGenova to lead the investigation into claims that Democrats have attempted to undermine President Donald Trump and keep him out of political office, treating the last decade of political weaponization of law enforcement and intelligence agencies as an ongoing criminal conspiracy.
DiGenova confirmed his departure in a call to CBS News, stating that he tendered his resignation at 3 p.m. Eastern.
"It was an honor and a privilege to serve the president and the department," he said.
New Hampshire’s primary contests on Tuesday finished off the primary season and cemented the remaining candidates for the key Senate races that will decide whether Democrats or Republicans control the upper chamber following the November contests.

Illegal alien Alvaro Uribe Gonzalez, 33, was driving east on Sunday while impaired and without a valid driver’s license when his 2016 GMC Terrain “traveled off the right side of the road,” according to The Scioto Post.
“Gonzalez then overcorrected, causing the SUV to cross the roadway, overturn and enter the westbound lanes,” the Ohio outlet reported. “The GMC Terrain struck a westbound 2025 Chevrolet Trax before catching fire.”

In order to prevent another 9/11, the only policy the American government needed to pursue was closing down the borders and never allowing Third-Worlders into the country again. Politicians not only refused to do that, but actually did the opposite.
Instead, Americans got stuck with a mass surveillance state, two forever wars, the importation of countless Third-Worlders, and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), which to date has never stopped a terror attack, but has made Americans’ travel experience miserable. U.K. lawmakers on Friday voted down a bill to legalize assisted suicide for terminally ill adults in England and Wales.
The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill was narrowly rejected, with 286 members of the House of Commons voting against the bill and 270 members voting in favor. The bill passed the Commons last year but unelected lawmakers in the House of Lords effectively filibustered the legislation by introducing more than 1,200 amendments. Friday’s vote ends a push by proponents of assisted suicide to revive the bill.

The unique “Midterm Convention” by the Republicans in Dallas this week featured the faithful filling an arena (mostly, but there were quite a few empty seats) to hear the faith (mostly, but a Democrat Senator, too, spoke by video).
I’ve voted Republican since Ronald Reagan, including three times for Donald Trump. I didn’t think I would learn anything by watching the spectacle, and I didn’t think it would be amusing entertainment, so I didn’t watch.
But I did hear that President Trump promised to pay each adult citizen $5,000 if the Republicans hold both houses of Congress in November. I have two thoughts on this.
