I am funny first, a comedian above all else. I am a comic book writer, a best selling author, a professor, motivational speaker, moderator, and panelist. I will flip your conference from boring to electric.
I make the most delicate topics engaging and hilarious. Book me for your event. Hire me as your coach. Bring me to your college to annoy haters. I check every DEI box and ones that weren’t even invented yet.
“People with disabilities are the largest minority in the world, and we are the most underrepresented in media.”
“In the oppression Olympics, I would win a gold medal. I’m Palestinian, Muslim, a woman of color, I’m disabled, and I’m divorced. If you don’t feel better about yourself, maybe you should.”
My goal is to employ disabled talent on screen and behind the scenes, and to tell authentic, comedic disabled stories. My production company, CanCan, has produced two groundbreaking series: Advice You Don’t Want to Hear and DisCo, a globally touring disability talk show that amplifies local disabled voices and has been filmed in English and in Arabic. I believe in amplifying voices that are often ignored, and that power is unlimited, so it should be shared. My mission is to provide salaries, not charity.
Disability intersects with every minority community. 1 in 3 households globally include a disabled person.
