Nearly three years after the Security Police files were opened, I finally got around to looking at mine.
Recently
frsimon deprecated the biographical LJ, but seeing the flattering things that the SB had had to say about me, I could not resist the temptation to blow my own trumpet, or rather, let them blow it for me. They said some of the nicest things (blush)
I didn't have time to read everything in the two files, and hadn't taken along enough money to get them photocopied. There seemed to be a lot of things in there that I didn't know about myself, and a lot of things I didn't know about them, and their mental processes. Their extreme fear of the consequences of what might happen if I went into the Catholic Book Shop, for example
But here are some tidbits:
I was tickled by (e) -- I would have thought that an "anarchist state" was a contradiction in terms. I assume "the former Cuban terrorist" was Che Guevara, though I can't remember comparing him with Christ. What I do remember was making some comparisons between his followers and some of the followers of Christ, like some Anglican bishops, who said that "modern man" could not believe in things like the resurrection of Christ, whereas the followers of Che showed no hesitation in marching with placards saying "Che lives!".
