Well my leader just told me that depending on how this Kaizen goes he will walk out and quit during it. So uh. That starts in an hour. If he quits I'm very screwed in my commitment remaining after the businesses move unless they would give me some of his work. The person my leader has the biggest beef with is the husband of a girl I used to have a thing for years ago when I was in my mind 20s. We used to drink at this one event together my aunt and all her friends went to yearly back when I was a drinker. Before they even got married he made sure her plastered self was ok. He is a good guy. It puts me in such a hard spot because I partially agree with what my leader is saying. There's the me that's like I know his wife.... She's a very nice lady. We got drunk together in the past. This actually is a decent guy and I don't think this image my leader has is correct. The other leader we had issues with a month or two ago. She's not only my aunt's friend but she tutored me back when I was in school. My leader practically made her cry. She did deserve the pushback though. You really get put in these spots when you work with people who you have an outside connection to. I think my leader is overreacting with this level of a response though, We'll see what happens after these two days though. -

Hey there, my crowd! It's time to share the ballad of a crazy dream.
Not much to share about my personal life at the moment. I bought a new fan for my room and customized it with paint, so now it has a black and red color scheme. I had a rather gruesome nightmare recently, but the less I share about that, the better. And I've been discovering some awesome music lately.
Zeztz 45-50: Mission Successful. These episodes easily make up the most epic and suspenseful moments in the series. Hard won victories that almost come at the cost of some ultimate sacrifices. There is even a moment that gave me Fullmetal Alchemist vibes. (If you know, you know.) I won't go into spoilers for the final episode since I always want everyone to check out the show if possible. I will just say that some predictions I made came true, others surprised me. But mostly, I am glad that everything felt right. And I am ESPECIALLY glad they didn't go for the fake out "it was just a dream"/nothing-mattered ending. I was fearing that since the show began~! Life is but a dream, but all good dreams surpass nightmares.
MY THOUGHTS ON ZEZTZ: This was truly a successful experiment.
Zeztz made history as the first Kamen Rider show to be simulcast for Free on YouTube/Twitch. It was handled by a company that brought their best translating resources, Shout Factory. Part of me wishes it had aired on American TV so that it could reach an even wider audience, but that would probably require making an English dub, which no one in either country was ready to do. Before the show even began, it was fought with questionable material. The first promo commercials look like they had Generative AI elements. And as the show went on, there were suit designs and other story-telling oddities that made me wonder just how much Generative AI was actually used. But thankfully, such fears were put to rest.
Despite everything, this show was man-made by real people. The biggest criticism is that this show will often blur the line between reality and dream, making you wonder what's what. If you aren't keeping notes, you will get lost fast, and you still might discover some plotholes here or there. But despite that, the showrunners came out swinging with this one. Maybe they knew they'd have an international audience watching, so they gave us a very heavy-hitting series filled with action, suspense, mystery, a strong story, and characters that you will bond to. They were determined to give us one of the best shows they could, and it really shows. They even translated and livestreamed a live show for good measure.
And you know what? I think it paid off. The license Shout Factory had might have run out, but in that time when the show was active, it was seeing plenty of viewership. It even became a heavily trending thing on social media. It paid off so much that the next show, My-Th, will also be simulcast. Granted, it will be presented in another way, but the impression was made. On some level, the people at Toei know that there is an international audience hungry for Japanese tokusatsu, and that potential market is too good to pass up. Where this leads in the future is anyone's guess. There's been rumor of Toei wanting to make their own streaming service, but that's been in speculation even before Zeztz. I'll believe it when I see it. A physical release of Zeztz in the States is more likely right now. But for the time being, Zeztz was success and worthy of entering the Rider Hall of Fame. Can My-Th, an anniversary series, take us to even greater heights? Only way to find out is to get cracking.
