A Peak In The Life

Welp, another year draws to an end. 2017 was a pretty good ride. Expecting great things from 2018.

Wow, the last 1.5 years have been more challenging in ways I wasn't prepared for. I have come out tougher, and, hopefully, more wise. Fortunately, I've come out ahead. Great things are starting to happen! Let us experience them together.

January only has a fews hours left. The first month  of 2016 is almost over. The last half of 2015 was a disappointment, but spirits remain high. The goals are unchanged, and will be accomplished. I was able to  get my driver license back. Taxes have been filed, awaiting refund. Here's to a great 2016.

My livejournal  turned 13 a few weeks ago. I'm  so proud. The Confetti reunion is tonight at Area. We're also celebrating Big Mike's birthday. RIP Mike. August first was the tenth anniversary of my mother's death. Tonight we're going to celebrate  life.

Is there a livejournal revival underway? It seems to be a better forum for a more indimate post than facebook or twitter allows. It been an interesting journey since starting this blog in 07/2002. I'm glad I'm finally at a place where there is always something great ahead. Hope you're in a good place, too. 

Out with old, in with the new! 2015 is already opening with a lot of possibilities. The foundation has been laid, time to build!

good-bye 2013, hello 2014!

Sometimes I'm an idiot and I read the comments that people have posted to an article on various sites. Therefore, I have concluded that my friends and I are a hell of a lot smarter than the general public and the world is screwed. I'm not a genius, but my I.Q. is over 100, thankfully. We have to stop catering to the lowest common denominator, or "we're" not going to make. Which might not be such a bad thing.

In other news: The work on the house is finished and we've moved back home. The unpacking is near complete and the empty boxes have been hauled away.

I'm over fireworks.

Our house caught on fire. The good news is practically the whole house is going to be remodeled and we'll be able to go home sooner than expected. While it sucks to have a house fire, at least the house is being modernized. The siding will be replaced, so at least we won't have yellow siding anymore.

The year is looking up from here. I am really looking forward to going home.
