The Party for Socialism and Liberation is made up of leaders and activists, workers and students, of all backgrounds. Organized in branches across the country, the PSL brings together a new generation of revolutionaries alongside movement veterans with decades of experience. Together we are fighting for a system where the government and the economy are controlled by poor and working people, not billionaires and their state.
Why get involved?
We are united in our belief that capitalism—the system in which all wealth and power is held by a tiny group of billionaires and their state—is the source of the main problems confronting humanity today. It must be replaced by socialism, a system where poor and working people have power and the wealth of society is used in a planned and sustainable way to meet people’s needs.
The PSL is deeply involved in a wide range of people’s movements, from local struggles over affordable housing and racist police brutality, to fights in workplaces around wages, benefits, and working conditions, to the global issues of imperialist war and environmental destruction.
Getting involved means joining a fight to connect the daily struggles of oppressed people with the larger movement for systemic change. There are several ways to get involved in building the movement for socialism:
Join the Party
Become an active PSL member, engaging in the day-to-day work of mobilizing, organizing, agitating, educating, and building connections with the masses of people. All party members have rights and responsibilities and a serious commitment to long-term political work.
Volunteer
Contribute your skills to local actions and events. For example, helping with outreach for a demonstration.
Electoral campaigns
Help build a viable third-party alternative to challenge the ruling class establishment in your state.
Donate
Support the PSL financially to sustain and strengthen the movement for socialism.
