Two crafts, one decision: what stays in the frame.
A photographer's habits, applied to product.
Photography taught me to decide fast what belongs in the frame and trust the rest. Product work is that same discipline at a different scale: pick the one thing worth building, cut what dilutes it, ship, look again.
I have done that inside very large companies. What I want now is the earliest part โ where the problem is not named yet, where AI makes new answers possible, and where most of the work is finding the real question.
Perfection is a useful compass and a terrible destination.

Notes
All essays โToo small to tell. Say so.
I built an agentic system that runs marketing experiments end to end. Its most valuable output was a refusal to answer.
Your agent works. Prove it.
A single run isn't a measurement. Agents are nondeterministic, most teams score them as if they aren't, and the number that ends up on the slide is often quietly dishonest.
