Draft 2026 compliance supplement
OMB has released a final DRAFT version of the 2026 Supplement to the AICPA GAQC so that auditors can use it to begin planning their 2026 single audit engagements. In providing this draft, OMB has asked that it only be used for planning purposes as it has not yet received final clearance from OMB leadership. The AICPA GAQC has indicated that OMB staff do not expect any significant changes to result during the clearance process. As noted in GAQC Alert #502, it would not be appropriate for an auditor to issue a June 30, 2026, year-end single audit before the release of the final 2026 Supplement.
The draft 2026 compliance supplement is available at https://singleaudit.org/resources/supplement/, published by individual section, including with redline version comparisons to the 2025 supplement. Individual program information available on singleaudit.org has also been updated with extracts of the compliance supplement related to each program. (October 5, 2026)
