We haven't updated our blog since December of last year. Mmkay, so here goes!
Well, there has been a lot that has happened in 2013, including the birth of our awesome baby Clark James. AKA JIMI HENDRICKS, born August 29, 2013:
He looks like he is dreaming of some killer shreds in this picture. The likeness is uncanny:
Now imagine Hendrix's skills combined with a firm testimony of the Word of Wisdom. This may be Clark in twenty years, believe it.
Logan and Penny have really taken to being good older siblings. They really love this kid.
Penny physically cannot resist kissing his cheeks:
Of course, the little guy spends a lot of time sleeping.
Fortunately, Logan and Penny are thoughtful enough to make sure he never gets bored. We often find him something like this:
He gets pretty smiley sometimes, but this is about the closest we've got on camera:
Also this fall, Logan played soccer in our local HAYSL kids league. I joined in as the assistant coach, and was suddenly having flashbacks of my own dad coaching me in baseball when I was a kid. I had to wonder if I was really getting that old. Logan had a blast learning soccer and earning the Most Improved Player award on our team (the Green Hornets). He had awesome teammates.
We had a great family home evening in October where we went to a local park and made a leaf pile to play in. Shannon did one of the most amazing leaf pile dives ever. I'm really bummed that you missed it.
As for other stuff that happened recently, Logan went to his first visit to a dentist and had a little bit of work done. He was really good about getting shots although the numb feeling did freak him out a bit.
Our kids had some pretty rad heckaween costumes:
And today, Clark upgraded his digs from a bassinet to a portable crib. Sick new ride.
And in other news, Penny started potty training a few days ago. She has been really excited about it, though we have been markedly less excited about cleaning her #2 off of the floor.
Also in other news, Shannon is hot and stuff:
Much love the Hendricks family in Maryland. Yes, even to you, Google web crawler that is now reading this.
