Coronal holes #93 and #94 will be facing Earth over the next several days. A co-rotating interaction region (CIR) and coronal hole stream is predicted to reach our planet beginning Sept. 14th. Below is a look at the visible solar disk as we head into Thursday (Sept 10). Solar activity during the past 24 hours has been low with only minor C-Flares detected. None of these regions are considered much of a threat for strong solar flares.
The potential moderate (G2) geomagnetic storm forecast for Wednesday failed to materialize with the expected incoming CMEs failing to deliver much of a punch to our geomagnetic field. Geomagnetic storming is no longer in the forecast, however a further update will be provided should conditions change.
