Well after a years absence I feel the need to get back into the blogging thing. I want to be better at journaling and this will help me achieve that.
I will not try and play catch up cause that would just be too overwhelming so I will just start from now. Or last week at least. :)
The Burtons came to visit us for Easter weekend and we had SOOO much fun with them. We are glad that we live close enough to make this visit possible but still wish we lived a little closer.
Emma and Jack LOVE their cousins and they played so well together.
We also were able to have Baby E stay with us for 3 days while the Burtons hung out in D.C. for a few days. She is SERIOUSLY the best baby. We love her so much. So while the Burtons were away we went to an Easter egg hunt at the church.
Here is Emma showing her loot!
And here is sweet Baby E, she doesn't have any eggs yet but she made up for it later by snatching up any egg she found whether it was on the floor or in someone elses basket already. She was so funny!
Jack saying "here it is"
This is the best picture I could get of the three of them.
So when the Burtons came back we all packed up and headed to an Orioles game. Thanks Burtons!! We had so much fun. Before the game we made arrangements to meet Jeremy Guthrie at the dugout to get autographs and pictures and these pictures were taken while we were waiting.
Unfortunately we weren't able to catch him until just before the game started so we hurried down and met him and he quickly signed some hats and baseballs for us but the usher had to shut things down so we never got a picture! Bummer!! Well, maybe next time. Thanks Jeremy for doing that for us.
The reason I put this picture on here is because this is Derek Lee and he was throwing the ball with Brian Roberts before the game started. While we were getting autographs at the dugout they came in and Brian Roberts threw us the ball they were playing with. Well, I was holding Jack and he grabbed the ball (and the one we had bought for the autograph) and chucked them into the dugout. Jeremy found the one we had bought but the other one got lost. Jack has a good throwing arm!! :) But Jeremy was nice enough to grab us a game ball and handed to us before we were ushered out, so at least we have that. We will have to go back and get it signed next game we go to.
Ha ha this picture is funny because the crowd was shouting "Yankees @*!#" and Jack got in on the fun!
Easter morning with the kids and their baskets
Here is the cake I made for Easter. I wanted the kids to take a picture with it before we cut into it.
We had so much fun and can't wait to hopefully get together with the Burtons this summer!
