Simon Says - Just Because

Hello my friends, I'm back to share a card made with the Beautiful Butterfly Flaps dies from the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember release, the Simply Shabby 6" x 8" stamp set from the September Card Kit and Tim Holtz Idea-ology Neutral Palette Paper Collection.

I trimmed the brown marbled paper from the Neutral Palette Collection to 3.3/4" x 5", inked the Simply Shabby background stamp with Simon Says Stamp White Pigment ink and stamped over the panel.

I dragged a Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink pad over Distress Watercolor card and stamped randomly with the Simply Shabby background image, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturrne ink. I die-cut the Beautiful Butterfly Flaps frame die from a black paper from the Neutral Palette Collection. I die-cut the Beautiful Butterfly Flaps frame again using the second die to cut out the detail from the Distress Watercolor card, inked lightly with Vintage Photo and Scorched Timber Distress Oxide inks using a Tiny Blending Tool, sprinkled with Vintage Photo and Scorched Timber Distress Embossing Glazes and heat set.

I die cut again from the Distress Watercolor card, inked lightly with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink and fixed to the Beautiful Butterfly Flaps frame with adhesive only on the centre sections and lifted the wings to create dimension.

I stamped the sentiment from Simply Shabby on to a rectangle of the Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and coloured lightly with Vintage Photo and Scorched Timber Distress Oxide inks. I added Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Mummy Cloth behind the butterfly and sentiment and fixed both in place popped up on Simon Says Stamp 3D Thin Foam Squares.

I die-cut the butterfly body from Distress Black HeavyStock 3 times and layered to create dimension. I tapped the body with a Versamark ink pad, sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder, heat set and fixed to the butterfly with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect Craft Glue.

To finish I dragged the Frayed Burlap Distress Ink Pad around the edges of an A2 white card blank and fixed the panel in place.

Simon Says - Transport It

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

TRANSPORT IT

I created a page in my Stamperia Mixed Media 6" x 6" Journal inspired by the iconic red buses and black cabs that transport residents and visitors around London. I used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Wacky Transport, Handwritten Celebrate and Vacation Thinlits, Stampers Anonymous London Sights and Idea-ology Postmarked Sticker Book. 

I began by creating a wash of Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink over the page and added shading to the edges using a Mini Round Blending Tool.

I fixed a panel of Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Correspondence 8" x 8" paper in place with Distress Collage Medium, added Barn Door Distress Oxide ink randomly applied with a piece of acetate and stamped the Big Ben and postmark images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous London Sights, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

I die-cut the bus and car from Simon Says Stamp Red Lipstick and Silver cardstock, Distress Black HeavyStock and Sizzix Grey Neutral cardstock  and shaded the edges and windows of the bus with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a Tiny Blending Tool.

I added a collage of stamps from the Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Postmarked Sticker Book. I fixed thin strips of the Correspondence paper to ground the die-cuts and fixed them in place with Distress Collage Medium.

I added Tim Holtz Idea-ology Snippets - ignore the "journey" die-cut - I changed my mind about using it.

Instead I die-cut the page title twice from Simon Says Stamp Red Lipstick cardstock and Distress Watercolor card, layered to create dimension and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. The observant amongst you will notice that the die only cuts the word Travel but thanks to a great tip from my friend Tami B, I did a little sneaky surgery on the word Thanks, in other words, I stole the "S" to add on at the end. Who will ever know and I won't tell if you don't.

Celebrating You Today

Hello my friends, I'm sharing a card made using Simon Says Stamp Make A Wish Cake Embossing Folder from the STAMPtember 2026 release along with the Simply Shabby 6" x 8" stamp set and Rainbow Splash Mini Ink Cubes from the Simply Shabby September 2026 Card Kit.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and coloured with the Rainbow Splash Mini Ink Cubes using Round Detail Blending Brushes.

I placed the panel in the Make A Wish Cake Embossing Folder and ran through my die-cutting machine.

I sanded the embossed detail and the edges of the panel using a Mini Round Ink Blending Tool and Distress Sanding Disk. I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Shabby stamp set, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.

I  coloured the candle wicks with a Memento Black Marker, added Simon Says Stamp Starshine Embellishment Mix and matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.

Tim Holtz/Simon Says Stamp - Scared Silly

Hello my friends, it's never too early to get started on your Halloween makes so I decided to make Halloween themed arch shaped cards using the adorable images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Scared Silly and Simon Says Stamp Scared Silly co-ordinating dies. You can check out all the stamps and co-ordinating dies from the new release HERE.

I began by creating 3 cards using Simon Says Stamp Nested Domed Arches dies. I lined up the left edge of the largest die slightly off the edge of the white card blank and die-cut. I taped the largest and second largest die together and die-cut from Distress Black HeavyStock to create the frames.

I die-cut the inserts for the frames from Distress Watercolor card using the second largest die.

I coloured the first insert panel using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Moon Mask, Tea Dye and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks and stamped with the bats and corn stalks from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous The Scarecrow, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

I repeated the process using Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks and stamped the large branch from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mr. Bones.

On the third panel, I used Faded Jeans and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide inks and the large spider web from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Boo Crazy.

I stamped all the images from the Scared Silly stamp set on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and coloured with Distress Watercolor Pencils (colours linked below) using a Detailer Waterbrush.

I die-cut using the Simon Says Stamp Scared Silly co-ordinating dies. At this stage I realised I should have heat embossed the images before colouring to make them stand out more so I tapped a Versamark ink pad over each die-cut, sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.

I stamped the sentiments from Scared Silly on to Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Simon Says Stamp White Pigment ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and heat set.

I die-cut the sentiments using the Scared Silly co-ordinating dies and hey presto, I now have a big pile of images and sentiments to play with.

I added splatters of Frozen Fog and Mulled Cider Distress Mica Stains.

I fixed the die-cut Scared Silly images and sentiments to the cards using Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect Craft Glue and Thin 3D Foam Squares and added Black/White Plaid Ribbon bows from my stash.

Simon Says - Stamp It

STAMP IT

As you know STAMPtember® is a very special month in the Simon Says Stamp calendar. This week the team are all using some fabulous products from Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Release. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used. We are also welcoming the lovely and talented Debbie Emmons as this month's Designer In The Spotlight.  If you haven't visited her Instagram page before, please pop over, you are in for a real treat!

I created a page in my Stamperia  6" x 6" Mixed Media Art Journal using Simon Says Stamp Haunted Garden 6" x 8" stamp set from the STAMPtember release, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Ticking and Grain and Distress Watercolor Pencils.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 6" square and tore around the edges to make it smaller than the page in my art journal. I stamped the pumpkin image from Haunted Garden, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set.

I stamped the images again on to masking paper, fussy cut and placed on the panel. I smooshed Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink on to my media mat, spritzed with water and used a large brush to add a wash of colour over the panel. I dipped the panel back into the ink repeatedly, drying between layers.

With the masks still in place, I inked Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Ticking and Grain with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink and holding the stamp in my hand, stamped randomly over the panel.

I coloured the images with Distress Watercolor Pencils (colours linked below) and a Detailer Water Brush and inked around the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a Tiny Blending Tool.

I added splatters of Distress Resist Spray, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and heat set. Istamped the large sentiment from Haunted Garden, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossed as before with Clear Embossing Powder. I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor cardstock with Scorched Timber Distress Ink, stamped the small sentiment, inked with Simon Says White Pigment ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and heat set. I fixed in place with Simon Says Thin 3D Foam Squares and fixed the panel to the art journal page using Distress Collage Medium.
