TL:DR - Highly recommended for Pittasoft "BlackVue" series cameras, can get 6+ months on a 24/7 setup, but carry at least one spare, as failure is unannounced and abrupt. Warranty service is excellent, and somewhat fast, if required. Would be nice if they lasted a little longer, but such is flash.

Longer version: All in all, this is an absolutely fantastic card for its intended purpose: surveillance gear. The slow-by-design speed of it isn't an issue in my gear, and actually prevents issues I have with nearly every other card when used in my Blackvue DR650GW-2CH, which feeds in one 1080p and one 720p feed, continuously, 24/7. I have been getting about 6-8 months out of these cards, which can get somewhat close to the 10,000 hour standard on the 64GB card (I used 150% for my calculations on 720 "hours" since those obviously take up less space). The gracious thing about the way mine have finally pushed up daisies is that it was abrupt. They just stopped being recognized by any device, including the dashcam, which then causes it to alert me. Many other cards will be more on the lines of slow and gradual corruption of videos or config files (if written to), well before calling it quits, which can make it frustrating, or worse if you needed the video for any reason. I have managed to get warranty replacements on the ones that failed in under one year, so there's that too, which I find extremely nice on SanDisk's side, if only a little time consuming to get going, but turnaround is fast. Although I wish they lasted longer, I can't actually justify removing a full star for it, since that's to be expected with flash memory.

I have dashcams and IP security cameras that writing to their cards often and thought I'd try these. I have been using them for two years now and have had no issues with them, not that I really expected to since I find SanDisk cards normally work very well. It's probably too soon to report on long term reliability, but based on what I have experienced so far I think these are a good choice for constant video recording.

I initially bought a regular micro SD card from SanDisk for my car's dashcam. It worked well for a bit but then one day when I wanted to pull some video off of it I found the picture to be a bit glitchy here and there. Did some digging and found that not all SD cards are made the same. For something like a DashCam or just anything thats going to be recording a lot and writing to the card for a while at a time, you need one thats made for constant abuse. This one has been holding up very for the past almost 3 months I've had it and footage from it looks the same as day 1. For the price, 32GB is a great deal for a high endurance card from a reputable brand such as this one.

Time will tell. My samsung S5 corrupts SD cards all the time.

Bought this for my Samsung s5 which is notorious for corrupting sd cards over time. Something to do with heat from the camera. I have been through countless Sd cards on my s5. The data would simply corrupt and the sd card would require a format losing all of my data. This was , infuriating to say the least. When I discovered this possibility I lept for it. Supposedly these things are heat resistant. I will update if it survives my s5 without going corrupt for more than 6 months. If it survives I will up my rating to 5 star.

Update: Well the card outlasted my Samsung S5. IT hasn't corrupted once. Sadly my S5 got toasted due to another outside reason. But So far so good this Sd card stood the test of time as far as I'm concerned.

The headset is a little bulky and all the controls are on the same side which makes it little confusing to operate. You have to figure out how many times to press the volume to either turn it up, skip music tracks. The ear buds ratchet out which make it odd to pull out. But the sound quality is good and overall its not that hard to get use to. But for only $30 it is priced right. However I started having trouble with one side cutting out and the headset would randomly disconnect from my phone. I notified the company and they very quickly offered a replacement and stood behind their product! You can't beat service like that and I will definitely buy from them again.

Reliable micro SD for recording use
Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2019
Brief content visible, double tap to read full content.
Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.

I purchased this high-endurance micro SD card to use with a dashcam. Mine is set for 5 minute cycles, i.e. a 5-minute video is recorded, then a new file is created for the next 5 minutes, and so forth until the entire SD card is full — and then the camera overwrites the oldest files as it continues creating 5 minute videos.

Obviously, that is a lot of recording during multi-hour drives. It had never occurred to me, but turns out there is a difference between your run of the mill SD card and one of these high-endurance cards, namely the ability to hold up to the constant read/write cycles. Normal cards aren't built to take the repetitive data reading/writing/deleting/overwriting required for dashcam/closed-circuit surveillance camera use.

With that said, as you would expect with any SD card these days, this thing simply works. I have not measured its read/write speeds, but both are more than adequate when reviewing dashcam videos on my computer.

I'll be sure to update this review if the card fails, experiences slowdowns, or has any other issues... but I don't really expect that to happen.

Take it from me after buying several repeat purchases, these SIM cards are top notch. None of the negative issues read about on a lot of sites. It’s all here👌

Note this review is for: SanDisk High Endurance 64 GB Video Monitoring Card up to 20 MB/s, Class 10

As Amazon insist on grouping different products together - please stop this practice!

I bought this MicroSD card for my new Dash Cam. I spent a lot of time researching the best type to buy, given that most of these are not recommended for dash cams and will void warranties if used in such a device. So unless you want to pay a hefty premium (and likely to be more than the cost of the actual average Dash Cam), I recommend this SanDisk High Endurance Card.

It is specifically listed as suitable for Dash Cameras, so this really sold it for me. The price is very reasonable too for the 64Gb model and will allow 10,000 write cycles of HD video recording and has a 2 year guarantee! It is temperature proof, shock proof and water proof, so should easily be able to withstand extremes of temperatures experienced in hot summers and cold winters whilst left in the Camera in the car.

I would always recommend formatting this card in the dash camera itself if you have his option on your device, as, if using Windows to format the MicroSD Card, it will create a system volume information folder and files on the Card. This can cause problems with some Dash Cameras not recognising the file format. Trying to get rid of the System Volume Information Files can be a problem if you are not IT competent.

Overall, using the card to date, it has worked brilliantly. The supplied adapter easily allows the card to be transferred to your PC for viewing or copying your video files across. If buying the 64 Gb version - be sure that your Dash Camera supports this capacity. Most only support 32Gb cards. I believe SanDisk also produce a 32 Gb High Endurance version too. Very impressed to date, and with the Dash Cam approval of this model and the 2 year guarantee, I don't think I could of found better.

One thing to be aware of is the packaging. It is so tight that you will need a scissors and / or a knife to open the pack up - so be really careful not to damage the small card inside (or your fingers)!

      ---> I have the 32GB capacity model

This card tests as legitimate capacity. If you're considering buying these for a dash cam, I would highly recommend them. They're inexpensive relative to other dash cam cards (at the time of posting at least), and they say specifically on them that they are made for dash cams.

Note: do not get a low quality memory card for dash cams. Cheap cards fail quickly and unexpectedly and if you get into an incident with a failed card you're in a bad place.

      --- Speed ---

On the package it says read/write speed is 25MB/s, but I get more like 40MB/s. This is more than enough for any modern dashcam (although it may not be enough for some Real 4K action cams). If you're using them in a mobile device like a smartphone this card has a relatively quick random read/write speed too (most cheaper cards are 1/3rd this speed). It is faster at random read/write than many cards in its price class (small files like system files) but not as fast at writing big files (photos, videos) where other cards at this price can read/write up to 90MB/s. For a dashcam or security camera these speeds are more than sufficient.

      --- Longevity ---

These cards claim 5,000 hours of recording at 25MB/s. Most dashcams that are 1080p film at 12 - 16 MB/s. So expect 5,000 hours of recording on average; more if you set your cam to 720p, less if you have a 2.7K cam like the Viofo A119. I've only had these cards for a couple weeks myself at the time of writing, thankfully all are still working. Other users on Dashcamtalk report these cards as being reliable in the long term.

      --- Downsides ---

There's no standard or micro SD case included (only a standard SD adapter). So if you want to keep this around as a backup card you'll need a case. Sandisk's blanket warranty clause still states that they don't warranty any of their cards when they are used in a video monitoring situation (dashcam, security camera, etc).

      --- Other Notes ---

These cards also claim to be temperature proof (important for dash cams because it gets hot under the windshield).

      --- Conclusion ---

If this card is less expensiv than other highly reviewed endurance cards like Transcend High Endurance, Adata Premier Pro or Lexar High Endurance, then get it! If one of those other cards are less get them instead. The cos t on these things fluctuates pretty heavily depending on the day so do your research before jumping. But if you are running a dash cam it is definitely worth it to get an endurance SD card.
