Water based stain

Water based stain
I am amazed that I couldn’t find a water based stain in Walmart or any home improvement store (all oil based), but I found it here. Minwax has always been my go-to for stain and water based polyurethane products. However, the stain representation on the tube (Pecan) was incorrect and quite darker after application as noted in the second image. Also, make sure you insert something in the nozzle before squeezing the tube, otherwise you’re gonna have a mess on your hands!

Anyone with an older home that has varnished molding knows that it turns orangish in color. Scratch cover never worked well for me. This stain in pecan is great for repairing these scratches. Since it's water based, cleanup is easy.
