AmazonBasics Pet-Training Pads
Perfect for Potty Training
Give your puppy the best chance for success when it comes to potty training. AmazonBasics pet-training pads offer superior performance and reliable convenience so that adorable little Fido learns fast.
In addition to training young pups, the pads also work well for assisting sick or aging dogs, making dogs more comfortable during transport, or offering an alternative to dogs without timely outdoor access.
Dimensions
Each pad measures 22 by 22 inches
Details
- Quick-dry surface with built-in attractant
- Super-absorbent core turns liquid to gel upon contact
- 5-layer leak-proof design prevents damage to floors
- Ideal for puppies, sick or aging dogs, or dogs without outdoor access
5-Layer Leak-Proof Design
Each pad comes with five layers to ensure leak-proof performance. The anti-streaming top layer offers a quick-drying quilted surface that locks in wetness, reduces odor, and prevents tracking. The surge layer keeps liquid flowing in the right direction, while the sponge-like core provides maximum absorption and turns liquid into gel upon contact. The last two layers of the leak-proof pet-training pads--the locking layer and the protective plastic lining--keep floors safe from damage.
Built-in Attractant for Faster Results
Specially designed with a built-in attractant, dogs are drawn to the pad when nature calls, which means faster and more successful potty training for your puppy. Simply choose where you want your dog to go, unfold the pad, and place it on the floor with the plastic side down.
Each 22-by-22-inch pet-training pad offers convenient relief for your dog and peace of mind for you. Once used, the pad's absorbent design and leak-proof liner make cleanup a snap. Simply toss the pad, and lay down a new one.
Tips for Training
Help familiarize your puppy with the pad by placing him on the pad several times during the day. When the puppy successfully goes potty on the pad, immediately reward with verbal praise and a special treat, then replace the used pad with a fresh one. If your puppy eliminates elsewhere, gently place him back on the pad as encouragement, always using positive (never negative) reinforcement. For best results, confine your puppy to a smaller space to start, like a kitchen or bathroom.

Customers say
Customers find these pee pads reliable and good value for money, particularly praising their effectiveness for potty training and elderly dogs. The absorbency and leakage performance receive mixed feedback - while some report great absorbency, others find them not absorbent at all, and while some say they don't leak, others report leakage through the pads. The size and thickness also get mixed reviews, with some appreciating the large size while others find them too small, and several customers note they are thinner than expected.
