Scorch Marker Pro is the original wood burning marker. It was invented in a California woodshop by Evan, a firefighter working on a commemorative plaque for his crew, who wanted to wood burn with stencils and couldn't. So he built the tool that made it possible. It's patented, it's made in the USA, and it changed the way people burn wood. Here's how it works. The marker is filled with a non-toxic, heat activated formula. Draw your design, apply hot air with a 1500 watt heat gun, and watch it burn into the wood. No hot tools near your hands, no learning curve. If you can draw it, you can burn it. Getting started is simple. Sand your wood smooth, 220 grit or more. Shake the marker and prime the tip on a paper towel. Draw freehand or trace a stencil, using the bullet tip for crisp lines and lettering or the brush tip for fills and shading. Then apply hot, even heat and watch the burn appear. Finish with our Wood Finishing Oil to seal and protect it. And if you make a mistake? Sand it away and go again. That's the part traditional pyrography can never forgive. It works on wood, paper, cardstock, leather, denim, and even gourds. It's non-toxic and safe for food contact surfaces, so cutting boards and wooden spoons are fair game. Once burned, it's permanent. Wood burning used to take hours of practice and a hot iron.
