Welcome to football with the walls closed in. The Athens Crush will compete in the Indoor Football League beginning in March 2027, bringing one of the fastest and most exciting forms of professional football to Akins Ford Arena. Played on a 50-yard field with eight players per side, indoor football puts fans closer to every hit, every touchdown, and every momentum-changing moment. The Crush will play a 16-game regular season, including eight home games in downtown Athens, with the opportunity for postseason football extending into August. This isn’t football from a distance.
