Overview: GOLD is a free, weekly, after-school program for youth ages 11-15 with a focus on sparking empowerment, exploring social issues, developing leadership skills and building a sense of community. We welcome Cambridge and surrounding area residents to our program.
Â
Participants will learn about Intersectional Feminism, Advocacy, Creative Expression, Girlhood, Activism and more. Youth will contribute to thoughtful discussions on these topics. Youth participants help plan and lead our weekly activities. We'll go on different field trips locally, play team bonding games, and build connections through meaningful conversations. Most importantly, we build a supportive community together through fun and creative ways that allow us to get to know each other and grow together.
High school participants ages 16-17, have the opportunity to serve as peer mentors, helping to lead sessions, design activities, serve as positive role models, and strengthen their own leadership skills in the process.Â
