If Everton sell Iliman Ndiaye to Man City, keep an eye on this French winger as his replacement

Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye is being linked with a move away from the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Iliman Ndiaye turned down Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal earlier this month, but now there is renewed interest from Manchester City.

Everton insider El Bobble has just posted on X: “Manchester City are set to open talks with Everton for conditions surrounding a deal for Iliman Ndiaye.”

It’s being reported that The Friedkin Group have placed an £80m price tag on Ndiaye, so there could be some late movement before Tuesday’s deadline.

If the Senegal international does depart, don’t be surprised if the Toffees replace him with Jean-Matteo Bahoya.

Aside from Thierno Barry, which Everton player stood out most vs Preston? 🤔

Everton could sign Jean-Matteo Bahoya if Iliman Ndiaye leaves

When Ndiaye was considering joining Al-Hilal earlier this month, it emerged that Everton were showing an interest in Jean-Matteo Bahoya.

The Eintracht Frankfurt wide player, who recently celebrated his 21st birthday, registered eight goal involvements for the German outfit last season.

Bahoya predominantly operates on the left flank, so clearly Toffees chiefs have earmarked him as a potential Ndiaye replacement.

The 2005-born does have a different skillset though, as he’s got explosive pace and is therefore very effective in transition.

In fact, Bahoya is the fastest player in Bundesliga history, clocking a top speed of 37.16 km/h, which is just slightly slower than Usain Bolt’s average speed of 37.58 km/h in his record-breaking 100m sprint.

Indeed, the under-21 France international is still very raw, so if he were to join, the Friedkins would have to bring in Jack Grealish.

They wouldn’t be able to have just Tyrique George and Bahoya on the left flank; one more experienced head would be required.

Grealish is prioritising a return to Everton despite interest from his boyhood club Aston Villa, so that deal looks like it’ll happen.
