About the 2026 Matching Campaign

At this pivotal moment, when Canadian cultural identity is in the spotlight, our community of supporters can double their impact, thanks to a $50,000 matching pledge by a major visionary donor and the TIFA Board of Directors. 

As Canada’s premier literary organization, TIFA builds a vital connection between Toronto’s communities and global literature. Supporting us means investing in this vision. Your support ensures we will continue to introduce Canadian writers to the world’s readers, bring the world’s most compelling authors to our city, and fuel the next generation of local creative talent along the Young Writers Pathway. 

Crucially, this matching fund guarantees that our programming remains vibrant, open, and accessible to all curious minds.

Gifts of all levels are welcome. Tax receipts will be issued for all donations $20 CAD or more.
