In June I was diagnosed with cancer. Shortly after, my mom went into the hospital for end of life care after 2.5 years of cancer care, then hospice. 2 days after her passing, I had to start my personal health journey toward cancer recovery. I've already taken a significant amount of time off to support her, for bereavement and my initial surgery. Now I'm faced with addressing other parallel health issues that could impact my future health and well being as well as impeding future cancer care and be a detriment my ability to recover from the primary cancer.

I'll be having a minor procedure early December then another major surgery in February. I'll be out of work most of February possibly into March, depending on how well I heal.

I'm hoping to keep the doors of my business open as well as a roof over my head. I am a solo entrepreneur so I don't have any specific medical leave funds available to me. I also am unpartnered and will have to outsource a lot of my support with groceries, meal and pet care during my recovery.

It's really humbling to reach out as I wanted to keep this part of my life private, but more than ever I need to be surrounded with love support and hope for investment in my business!
