Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a regular meeting time?
A: Yes! While members can come anytime, day or night, every Tuesday night from 5:30 to 8pm is an open house and maker build night. Members are encouraged to come, meet others, and create cool stuff. Of course, your membership is valid 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can always come by to create.
Q: What’s the difference between Made New Makerspace and Omaha Maker Group?
A: Put simply, Omaha Maker Group (or OMG) is the membership program at Made New Makerspace. Prior to 2026, OMG was a standalone organization, but both organizations realized they would be stronger together, so they decided to join forces. We have over a dozen security cameras that can be monitored on or off site by our administration, a secure keycard entry, lockable lockers for member storage, and staff that regularly monitor the space. Additionally, all staff, volunteers, and members are required to undergo a criminal background check that screens for any crimes involving minors.
Q: What equipment and tools do you have?
A: A lot! We have tools and equipment in all of these fields: 3D Printing, Laser Engraving, Sewing, Quilting, Embroidery, Photography, Woodworking, Welding, Electronics, Computers, Cricut Machines, Heat Presses, Podcasting, Sublimation printing, Button Making, Model Rocketry, Legos, Crafting, and more!
