最近起こったminiエッセイ

海外オンライン英会話レッスンを午前中にすると

背景にはげしい鶏の声がする頻度高め。

あんまりないんだけど、ちょっと時間が余った時に、

そのことを質問したいんだけど、うまく話し出せたためしがない。

“Do most homes in your country have chickens?”

“Because when I'm having lessons in the morning, I often hear chickens crowing.”

これを常に準備している。

でも、日本でも鶏がいる家もあるかぁ……

“In Japan, too, many homes keep chickens, except in down town.”

とこんな文章も準備。

次回は言えるかな。

Lately I’ve been taking my online English lessons in the morning… and there’s always a rooster screaming in the background somewhere.
Every time I try to ask about it, my brain just glitches.

So I’ve been rehearsing:
“Do most homes in your country have chickens?
Because during my morning lessons, I keep hearing roosters crowing.”

And then I realized—
Japan has chickens too… just not in down town.
So I prepped this line as well:

“In Japan, too, many homes keep chickens, except in cities.”

Maybe next time I’ll actually manage to say it. 🐓😌
