【あらすじ】
ある計画を実行するために、
それぞれ特技を持つ11人のメンバーが集められていく。
華やかな舞台と軽妙な会話のなかで、
大胆なミッションが進行していくクライム・エンターテインメント。
【感想】
人気作だし、だいたいの展開も知っていたので、
なにも考えずに爽快な気分で観られると思って選んだ。
けれど実際には、11人が揃うまでの導入がかなり長く、
本題に入るまでに少し待たされる感覚があった。
ジョージ・クルーニーは、大人の渋さと余裕があって、
どこから見てもやはりかっこいい。
同じくブラッド・ピットも終始スタイリッシュな役どころで、
二人ともスターとしての存在感は十分だった。
ただ、年齢差があるにもかかわらず、
対等なパートナーとしてリーダー格の役割を分け合っている点には、
少し違和感を覚えた。
そこに至るまでの関係性や信頼の積み重ねが描かれていない分、
「いつ、どうやってこの関係になったんだろう？」
という疑問が残った。
マット・デイモンは、順当な役割をきちんとこなしている印象。
ジュリア・ロバーツは“美女役”として登場するけれど、
個人的にはその設定にあまり乗れなかった。
観終わったあと、期待していたような爽快感は残らなかった。
一人で突き進む
ミッション：インポッシブル
のトム・クルーズのほうが、
集中力もテンポもあって、私は断然好み。
人数が多いぶん、
もしドラマシリーズのように話数があれば、
それぞれの人物に深みが出て、
また違った印象になったかもしれない、と思った。

Since it’s such a popular movie,
I already knew the basic story,
so I expected something light and refreshing
that I could watch without thinking too much.
However, it took quite a long time
for all eleven members to come together,
and I felt a bit impatient waiting for the main plot to begin.
George Clooney has a mature, effortless charm,
and Brad Pitt is stylish throughout the film.
Both of them clearly have strong star presence.
That said, I felt a slight sense of discomfort
seeing them work as equal partners and leaders,
despite the age difference.
I found myself wanting to know
how they built that level of trust in the first place.
Matt Damon played his role competently,
while Julia Roberts appeared as the “beautiful woman,”
a role that didn’t quite convince me.
After it ended,
I didn’t feel the refreshing satisfaction I had expected.
Personally, I find the Mission: Impossible series
much more exciting.
With so many characters,
this story might have worked better as a TV series,
where each character could be explored more deeply.
