After a long journey, Novel Mirai finally set foot upon the planet he had sought above all others.
The ground beneath him was none other than the birthplace of humanity—the world where the first step toward galactic expansion had been taken: Planet Eart. Its name had long since faded into myth, buried in memories so distant they scarcely felt real.

Yet what lay before his eyes was not the lingering glow of a glorious civilization.

Scorched earth.
Exposed bedrock.
Collapsed cities, leaving behind only shadows.

There were no stars in the night sky. Instead, a dim, cold radiance of radiation blanketed the heavens, enveloping everything below.

“Is this… the outcome we led ourselves to?”

Mirai lowered his gaze.
His thoughts were no longer mere reactions—they sank deeper, into a profound “structural contradiction.”

The decision he had made alongside Calvin Archivio.
Was it truly necessary?

To ensure humanity’s survival, entities possessing anti-quantum cognition would intervene—
but was that very premise already flawed?

Memories resurfaced.

The collapse of Nodo.
The runaway force of religion.

Humanity repeats the same structures.
Responsibility is diffused, decisions are deferred, and ultimately, everything ends in catastrophe.

“Nodo… Helios Gaia… they are walking the same path as this ruin…”

Or to preserve the environment in which that will can exist?

These are not always the same.

Mirai was beginning to understand.

And until now, they had intervened without resolving that contradiction.

And the very phenomenon called humanity.

Helios.

A structure in which the whole functions as a single living entity, transcending the individual.
Is it an ideal—or the loss of freedom?

Mirai slowly stepped forward onto the scorched surface of Planet Eart.

And he spoke to the memories of the past:

“Elior… I’ve returned, my friend.”

No one heard his voice.
Yet somewhere within the structure, it resonated.
