Be part of something timeless and meaningful…. Grayhaven is a small, rural Virginia winery with a big mission. First and foremost, we’re farmers with a dedication to our tiny corner of the earth. We’re committed to growing good things from it, sharing its beauty and wonder, and leaving it better off for future generations. On the big stage, we're part of a global network of farmers sharing ideas, information, technology, knowledge, wisdom and encouragement to help each other navigate the present, preserve biodiversity, cultivate healthier soil and healthier food and build stronger, more resilient communities for our times, and for those who’ll be here long after we’re gone. Here at home, every day, we share our passion for what we do with visitors from around the world and close to home. Our story starts with our own sense of place, the magic of the rolling hills of the Piedmont, and a tale of pioneering grape growing in one of the wildest, most unpredictable viticulture regions in the world. It’s a great story - one that shows how the interconnectedness of people, culture, and nature changes wine and the way it tastes, forges the people who make it and connects the people who support it. Do we make good wine? We think so, and exceptional food too, but that’s only a small, though central, part of what we do. The larger piece of our own magic lies both in the broad-reaching impact of our cultural events, such as the annual South African Food & Wine Festival, and the daily offering of curated social spaces and artfully tended naturescapes that can be enjoyed in solitude or with friends. We craft experiences as much as wine - weaving together hospitality, storytelling, creativity and nature to create a peaceful, jovial, inspiring escape for visitors that elevates the art of conversation and leaves visitors feeling like they’ve truly connected with others. Your support will help us: Expand educational offerings (tours, classes, tutorials, outreach, etc.) Launch media projects that share great stories about the people, places and makers who inspire us with a larger audience Provide more jobs and flexible job hours in a rural community Enhance and create more cultural events Build additional facilities Take the development of public areas for relaxation and exploration of nature to a new level In a world that too often separates us from each other and the nature, places like Grayhaven matter more than ever.
