The foundation stone ceremony of the new campus of National Centre of Excellence in Geology, under the ecnic approved HEC PC1 Project (2005-2010) took place on Friday, the 20th of April 2007.
Honorable chief guest, Governor NWFP, Lt. Gen. (R.) Ali Muhammad Jan Aurakzai H.I.; H.I. (M), SBt inaugurated this historical event at the site of the new campus.

The New campus will include Natural History Museum, Earthquake Laboratory, Auditorium, Conference Hall, twenty class rooms and twenty two laboratories.

Estimated cost of the project is Rs. 652.138 millions.
