These replaced my original Backbeat Fits and are a very worthy replacement. I run about 20 miles/week and these things don't move at all while running. They are designed to be "unsealed" meaning that you can hear what is going on around you which is very important while running on streets or near roads. This sacrifices some of the range of the audio, but the sounds is perfectly acceptable compared to other headphones that I have tried for running. They are paired to my Samsung Gear Sport watch and have no connectivity issues for the first few months of service.

These are pretty comfortable, and sweat proof. They aren't sealed like most earbuds are. This means that they let in a lot more ambient noise than normal earbuds. Also the sound quality isn't as good as a normal, sealed pair of good earbuds. That being said when I'm running or riding my bike, I want to hear the road noise, so I can hear traffic. If you are working out in a gym or just using these as your daily driver, they probably aren't a good choice. But if you need something for running and or cycling they are perfect.

I was a hardcore fan of the original backbeats and they fit like butter in my ear. I could wear them ALL DAY without ear fatigue or pain. I had a pair that lasted me about 5 years. Yes, 5 YEARS, through many, many, many sweaty workouts.

Plantronics should fire their R&D department, because they totally trashed a great design. I had sore ears after just 20 minutes with these in. The earpiece itself, I believe, through comparison side by side, is just slightly thicker than the original backbeats. I don’t know if that’s what causes the ear fatigue, but I suspect it also has something to do with their change to the shape of the ear loops, these are much narrower without as much “loop” to them. Like, they’re made for elf ears or something. All in all, whatever combination of changes, led to a design that, for me, is anything but comfortable. I’d hate to have to wear these for an hour, just torture. The original backbeats, you forget you’re wearing them.

To their credit, I do think the sound is slightly better. But what does it matter if the battery is defective and they hurt your ears to wear?

Do yourself a favor and buy a set of the original backbeats before they’re gone. Steer clear of these, unless you like making returns.

No wonder these were $60 and the originals are going for $100.

Plantronics, listen to what your customers are saying or you’re going to lose a cult following if the older model ever becomes unavailable. I’m glad they’re still on the market, because my money was getting ready to go elsewhere.

Edit- I’ve had these headphones for about 5 months. When I bought these headphones in August of 2018 there was no reviews, so it was kinda a crapchute. But based off other reviews of the older model I took the chance. I am pretty happy with them. I got for 45-1hr jog every morning and battery life lasts about 5/6 times. The one thing I find annoying is that once it starts going down on battery life, to medium battery, you have about 45 mins until there dead.

But on the upside they charge pretty fast. A 1( minute chart will last me about an hour and a half.

The one thing I really dislike about these headphones that I did not know before I purchased is that these are headphones only and can not be used for phone conversations as it does not have a microphone (if it does it doesn’t work). I find it super irritating that during my jog if I have to answer my phone I have to disconnect my headphone or switch to my Apple ones- kinda defeats the purpose to have cordless headphones if you need to bring two sets, which is the only reason I took a star away. Other then that, I am pretty pleased. They sound great and I don’t have too much trouble of the sound jumping in and out. But the not being able to use them for phone conversations issue might of been my fault, I could of overlooked it in the discriptuon, but if your good with not being able to use them as a Bluetooth headset for phone conversations then I recommend them for running and the gym.

As for comfort they are pretty comfortable and boy do they stay on... it’s hard to get them off sometimes, lol. So all in all a good product!

I don't like calling these back beat fits, let alone Plantronics. I love Plantronics, but these are a let down to the name. Massive drop in sound quality, and volume. Still good quality, but not Plantronics quality by a long shot. The button total is now 2. Preferred 4 but that's a personal preference. The left button is a touchpad. Cool, but horrible idea. it has poor reaction, and when it does react, it's a very slow reaction, making it hard to control volume sometimes, which is important. They sacrificed comfort for stability. I sometimes found myself forgetting I had the older models on if nothing was playing because they were so comfortable, and plenty stable. Battery life is a bit of a boast to be honest. Not really 7 hours most of the time. While you can get a solid 8-9 hours at the same volume on the older models. They look cool at least. All in all, I still love this brand and the back beat fit line, but I'll be sticking to older models from hear on, and I highly recommend the same to anyone. I've owned them for years and they are the best sports headphones I've ever come across. These, on the other hand, not so much.

The sound quality is good and pretty close to earlier versions, as far as I can tell. This version is similarly designed but feels better and pretty lightweight, literally absent, wearing them. Bluetooth connects easily and the controls work well. Overall, good product design and quality. Could be priced a little lower for better value. Looks like charges will last longer but I hope the non-replaceable battery doesn't die too soon, my beef with older versions that I've owned.

My first pair of these were so great many years ago, sound quality is really good, not audiophile, but really good for waterproof sports and blue tooth. The last 3 ordered for family, 1 dead on arrival, 1 stopped charging after a couple weeks and 1 lasted about 6 months but stopped taking a charge. The plastic used is more rigid which means the ear piece does not sit in the ear well so the speaker portion is not well seated and difficult to hear. Quality of the charging mechanism has really gone down so the USB connector does not make contact...so needs to be moved around to get it to charge and after a while just stops all together. Also the buttons just don’t always work, just seems shoddy, very frustrating after such a great initial experience. Recommending you find a different brand after my disappointing experience over last 6 months.

Sound great, comfort great, perfect for running. They don’t block our sound (by design so you can hear buses etc outdoors) so not perfect with loud gym music but an excellent product. This is my second pair, new version has touch buttons which are a bit too sensitive it keeps turning on in my bag and draining battery. But still worth it for the sound and not bad for calls either

Good product, better than the back beat fit older version. However I got this in May 2019, after 6 months, the touch button is not trsponding. What is the point in buying something this expencive that works only during the warrenty period?

This is such a rip off . Please don’t buy it. The battery should last for 5-6 hours but it lasts 30/40 mins only! It’s a complete waste of my money .
