What an amazing set of earbuds, these are definitely an upgrade to the original Galaxy Buds (1st Gen), and those were amazing sounding headphones on their own right too. But these pro versions, wow, they blow those out of the water.... Now at first I wasn't really able to notice the quality of the audio, I felt they were about the same as my original buds, boy was I wrong, not only these provide superior audio quality, these buds can literally pickup sounds that I wasn't able to hear before in my older Galaxy Buds, instruments that I didn't know that were there....a perfect example was Dream Theater - Octavarium....try listening to that song with these buds, the first 3 minutes will leave you in a trans-like state, orchestral basically, the sound is rich and just beautiful.... ANC works pretty well imo, it blocks out sound very effectively and you have the choice of two settings, low or high. I usually keep mine at high sense I work as a crossing guard, and I have to be outside several hours at a time listening to cars roaring past me, ANC takes care of that problem it makes a world of difference, I can barely hear any cars passing by me with ANC activated, all I hear is the music.... As for voice activated, its kind of a hit and miss for me, it activates when it detects or hears your voice and lowers down the volume of your music as well as automatically activating ambient sound so you can hear the other person you are speaking with, what I find odd though is it doesn't seem to activate when that person speaks to you first or asks you a question, literally you have to be the one to speak first in order for it to activate.....it can also be very interruptible at times, don't start singing along with any of your tunes because Voice Activated will kick in. EVERY. TIME. WITHOUT FAIL....if you are going to start a conversation you are still better off just removing your left or your right ear bud just to have a normal conversation with someone and just leave voice detect off.... Ambient sound works very well and you have the choice of 4 settings from low to very high, I would suggest you leave it at high max, trust me you don't need it any higher than that ambient sounds works very well and it will pick up everything around you, if you work at an office ambient sound would be a very important feature for you imo.... Very solid build quality, not too big of a fan of the Matt finish though (can be slippery, take caution), but if you hate fingerprints no worries you wont see any of them on these puppies, for such a small case and well thick enough buds, they are surprisingly heavy, it's understandable though, there is so much tech packed in such a small form factor it's no wonder they are slightly heavy, I think it has to do with the magnets, the magnets on these are a huge step up compared to the past buds, very strong your buds will not fall off the case that easy you have to deliberately shake them VERY HARD in order to send them flying.... As for the buds themselves well, they are pretty comfortable, somewhat, idk maybe I'm just going crazy but these are not exactly perfect fit I feel like the first gen buds had the right fit for me, these overtime start to hurt my ears a little bit, never had this problem with the older buds so idk guess it has to do with my ears, I think I just need bigger rubber tips and the largest ones that it came with are just not large enough to provide a better seal, why can't I use my older tips from my first gen buds? or even other tips that are out there? I just don't understand why Samsung didn't make the tips universal on these buds, these tips have a weird proprietary, idk, is connection the right word? anyways, the tips that it came with are solely and only for these buds so do not lose em, I cant find any replacements for these, eBay has some, but they are those foam ones and I don't like the foam ones...way to pull an Apple Samsung....why on earth was that a good idea? just make them universal so I can easily replace these things whenever I want...anyways moving along (sorry that was just a gripe I had) Controls seem pretty straight forward, if you are coming from the original buds like me you will become instantly familiar with them....tap once pause, tap twice skip track, tap three times previous track....you get the idea.... (I only had these buds for like two days so sadly I haven't been able to test call quality with these, mainly I have just been using them for music, as intended) In conclusion, there is alot more to these buds I can go on about but in all honesty this will turn into a very long review so I'm just gonna go straight to the point...ahem....BUY THESE....even if you have to use a credit card just, just buy them they are that good and worth every penny....not even the Air-pods Pro can step up with these buds not to mention 50 dollars cheaper and much more up to date technology that's being offered to you, in other words more bang for your buck, you can't go wrong with these and if you are an audiophile trust me, you will want these.....

Like most on Amazon, the reviews on here are really helpful. I've been looking for some earbuds for awhile & being both an audiophile & hard of hearing, it's been a challenging search. There were a whole lot of negative reviews on here about these earbuds, yet the positive ones were so numerous also that I had a hard time picking these. The negative reviews mostly centered on the ear comfort & I've really struggled with others over this problem. My research turned up many negative reviews of just about every earbud because... everyone's ears are different. My son & my wife each have Bose buds. I wasn't particularly impressed by them. I discovered that if you have comfort issues with earbuds, there's a company, Comply, that makes replacement foam earbud earpieces for just about every brand & model, so I decided to go ahead & order these buds &, if they hurt my ears, I'd just buy the foam ones.

So I received these 4 days ago & while the earpieces were bearable, they were slightly uncomfortable, so I pulled out the included box of alternative ones that Samsung includes & it turned out the small ones fit me perfectly. I can barely tell there's anything in my ears.

Great! Now for the sound quality...

These are really impressive. While the equalizer doesn't allow much leeway, the 6 presets are adequate. Personally I'd think that high end buds would allow a fully adjustable equalizer, but... whatever. The sound on these are great! The sound is rich & full thanks to the separate woofer. The highs aren't as impressive but that's where my hearing impairment is so it's probably me. I compared them to my $2000 hearing aids & to be honest, the buds sounded much more real, clear, & satisfying. And... they actually make decent hearing aids. My aids simply over-amp high frequencies & it's no where near as satisfying as these buds. I've been walking around outside with my ambient noise setting turned on & the music paused & I can hear birds singing clear as can be. It's been 5 years since I've heard birds. I'm so glad I bought these!

So then we come to the touch-based controls. I find that feature kinda difficult. I turned Bixby back on just for these buds & am trying to get accustomed to controlling the buds this way. I wanted to go 3 songs back in my queue, said "hi Bixby. Go 3 songs back." My phone then backed up everything to Samsung Cloud. I tried to stop it but there is no way to do that.

occasional burst of static and poor execution of active noise cancelation

this is the owner of this accounts sister, I bought these for myself and am making a review on my own behalf. i have had this product for a little over 1.5 months. when I first bought the product, I had the galaxy j7 and was waiting for my galaxy s21+ to arrive. I don't recommend this product to those with older phones, however, the audio is phenomenal with newer generations of Samsung flagship phones. i now use with my galaxy s21+. I love bass in my headphones and these earphones provide that a ton. however, once every hour or so, an occasional burst of static occurs. this only lasts about half a second, but removes from the 'polish' of the product a bit, and it also hurts my hears a bit. on the front of the charging case, it says "Samsung, sound by AKG" and having listened to music, videos and such, you can really tell they put a lot of effort into making the sound quality on these headphones as best they could. I can't tell you these have the best audio ever, however it's the best I've heard from previous headphones I've used. they have a high frequency range so they could output from the highest highs to the lowest lows. one small problem is that with the higher frequencies leading up to 15 khz, the quality does hinder a bit and has a bit more trouble outputting them, however , thus not too noticeable, and especially won't be noticeable to the average user.. audio latency will obviously be a problem for Bluetooth headphones, however, the galaxy buds pro have a feature(with newer Samsung flagship phones) called "gaming mode" where audio latency is scaled down a bit, however, still noticeable. the battery life is attenuate and I don't exhaust the battery life on the earphones themselves all too often. the noise cancelation drains the battery so fast that it essentially makes the function unusable. it makes this function seem like more of a 'gimmick' than an actual feature as advertised highly by Samsung. the passive noise cancelation(noise cancelation from just having the earphones in) is nearly just as good as the active noise cancelation, rendering that entire aspect useless because of 1) battery drainage, and 2) its effectiveness. the active noise cancelation however, is such an unimportant feature for me personally that it doesnt necessarily hinder my rating for this product too much, but I'm still sad I can't use it. this alone dropped my rating by from 5 to 4 stars. if I were really into noise cancelation, it would drop my review down to 3 stars. the ambient noise feature is one of my favorites. I use it all the time to listen to music while in class, and it barely lowers the battery life. the weight of the product makes it feel more 'refurbished' and feel more 'premium', so this aspect I love. overall I'm in love with this product, but it's important to be aware of the flaws in such an expensive device. I would 100% recommend this product to anybody who isn't too big on noise cancelation, but would not at all recommend if you intend to use the noise cancelation feature.

occasional burst of static and poor execution of active noise cancelation

this is the owner of this accounts sister, I bought these for myself and am making a review on my own behalf. i have had this product for a little over 1.5 months. when I first bought the product, I had the galaxy j7 and was waiting for my galaxy s21+ to arrive. TLDR; Perfect for chores around the house or going to the coffee shop but if you have one specific thing you want to use these for I'd look somewhere else. They fit good into my ears and are comfortable for hours, but my ears are an average size and yet these are almost too large for me to wear comfortably. You could exercise with them, however I have to adjust every couple of minutes which gets annoying, and after a while I found myself reaching for dollar store earbuds that fit better and I'm not worried about damaging instead of these. The noise canceling is almost excellent especially for earbuds but if you are looking specificly for something to drown out noise I'd look at getting some headphones instead of earbuds. Sound quality is ok, but if you're an audiophile they may let you down a little. These will really only blow you away if your used to dollar store headphones, yet after dragging these through the mud for most of my review I would still recommend these to some people and am happy with my purchase. If you have a couple hundred dollars to spend on headphones for general purpose use I'd say these are right for you but if you want earbuds for something specific I'd go another route. For exercising, powerbeats pro or Jabra elite. For noise cancelling, Bose quiet comfort or Bose 700 and if you want high quality sound consider monitors if they fit your use application otherwise Sony WF-1000XM4. A lot of these are more expensive than Galaxy buds pro but if you have the money and know you are going to be using them a lot for that task I'd say it's probably worth it but if you're on a strict budget and can't spend hundreds on headphones I'd probably say in the long run you and your wallet will probably be happyer with any random cheap true wireless earbuds you find.

These ear buds have great sound quality, battery life, and ambient sound options.

I was surprised at sound quality of these ear buds. They have sound that I would say is equivalent to a decent over the ear pair of headphones. The software let me tweak the sound profile and I can get a decent amount of "thump" out of the bass.

The noise cancellation is very good for ear buds. A major factor here is fit, they have to be snug to drown out noise. When I work in my woodshop and have these on, they do an excellent job filtering out power tools. I also like the ambient sound option. I can put these in and hear almost better then my normal hearing. My family try to sneak up on me since I wear headphones a lot when I work. I turn around and say "Yes" whenever they try it now.

The battery life on these is great. I have gotten over 15-20 hours on a single charge. The battery life does degrade if you turn on ambient sound or active noise cancellation, so be aware.

The only issue I have is fit. These buds do not fit my ears as well as previous versions and I find that I twist them around a bit when I first put them in to get them seated properly. It is a comfort thing, they do not fall out , they stay securely in place.

Just got these today, and so far, I am really digging them. I am using these for music on my tablet and laptop. I don't plan to connect them to my phone, so I can't review those aspects. When I took them out of their case, they automatically connected with my Samsung Galaxy A10 tablet and work great! I would say that the audio quality is only slightly less as good as my Skullcandy bluetooth headphones. However, the audio quality is great and you can do a lot of tweaking to get the sound just as you like it through the app. I had to manually connect them to my Acer Chromebook 15 but they paired instantly (just the follow the very simple directions). The sound quality on my Chromebook was less as good as my headphones, but most Chromebooks aren't known for having the best sound with headphones/earbuds. But, overall the difference wasn't distracting, so I can enjoy these with my Chromebook while I browse the interwebs. For now, I am not reviewing the noise cancelling feature nor the ambient sound feature. I tried both briefly and they worked very well. Of course, the noise cancelling is not 100% but I don't think anyone is expecting that for $150 earbuds.

I highly recommend these earbuds. I don't have a lot of experience with earbuds, but I do know what good sound sounds like. You really are going to have to spend at least $150 to get a decent pair of earbuds, and these are those earbuds. I am very happy with this purchase.

BUT THE BIGGEST thing now is my s20 ultra got one ui 3.1 an 360 audio is amazing a few bugs so not better the airpods pro yet but very close an the best part is unlike airpods pro the 360 audio on the samsung buds pro works on almost everything yes youtube videos even amazon music hd it may take a few to kick in I think it's calibrating or something but man it's makes sound wayy better the sound stage is now better then airpods pro an it works on more things then airpods if you got these an returned them check out spin fit 360 tips very cheap there on amazon an it's worth every penny trust mel

First off sound is amazing for music. There is no latency on android or apple. noice cancelling is mediocre at best even with the best fit. ambient sound is just right plus more if you need it. I have many ear buds here are pics of my favorites an for me samsung is right behind the best the best being sennheiser momentums. An I'm not sorry to say samsung buds pro just passed my apple airpods pro when it comes to sound quality only. Fit airpods pro still the best out of everything I have noice cancelling an ambient sound airpods pro still best. Sound quality samsung buds pro is now my number 2 an for the price when it comes too sound quality I could say tie but sennheiser is like 8% better I will update soon.

**Update few days later** ok I still stand by what I says for sound quality my 1 and only problem may be big enough for a return 200 bucks with 300$ sound but the fit is trash they feel like there gonna fall out 65% of the time an if your good with pushing them in to adjust every 10 to 15 min then your good there worth it. These are not gym approved!

First off, I was excited to get these buds. On paper they have everything I was looking for. In order of importance for me.

      1) Sound Quality. 3/5 Though better than most buds, these fall very short in comparison to my Bose Soundsport Earbuds. The bass was better than the buds+ but not near the full sound that you would expect for $200. They were also very quiet if I paired them with anything but the Samsung phone. My Macbook pro wouldn't play loud enough to understand a movie. The sound was much more full, louder with more bass if the ANC was on compaired to off. Even if there was zero ambient noise.

      2) Comfort/Fit. 1/5 This was by far my biggest complaint. I could not get these to fit correctly, they hurt the inner canal of my ear after about an hour of wearing I could feel my ears hurt a full 24 hrs later, so much that I dreaded putting them in my ears again. Also, I couldn't get them to stay in, they would fall out while chewing gum, talking or just walking around. I almost lost them on an airplane luckily the bud detector in the app helped me find them.

      3) Ease of use/Features 2/5. Though the features in principle are very useful, it rarely worked like it should in practice. Buds would not detect that they were both in my ear, often wouldn't allow the ANC to turn on. Button was difficult to get to work like it should, tapping twice would often pause instead of skip, sometimes a tap would turn the bud off, it would think my ear was pushing the button. Frustrating while running.

      4) Water resistance. 5/5, tried showering with these in twice, if water got inside the bass driver it would silence the bass until it was cleared out. Once dry, it worked just as good as new.

      5) Long Battery life. 4/5 the battery life was very good, charged fast, I had a problem with the right bud dying about 20 minutes before the left bud but other than that, the life was long.

      6) ANC, 2/5 the ANC is kindof a joke, first they don't fit well enough to block out much noise but there was very little difference in the amount of noise I heard while on the plane with the ANC on or off. Samsung has tuned these to bass boost and sound different when the ANC is turned on. I wonder if this is just a gimic to make everyone THINK there is ANC.

      7) Voice detection to turn on ambient noise. 3/5, this is a feature I hadn't thought of until I got these, this is a cool idea that detects vibrations in your jaw to mute music and turn on ambient noise mice in case you're talking to someone. In practice it hardly EVER worked when I wanted it to, but always misfired. Talking to people would RARELY 1/10 times turn it on, 9/10 times it would be activated by clearing my throat, spitting while running, coughing, it got so annoying I turned it off.

      8) Voice/call quality 5/5, call quality is the best I've ever experienced with buds or any other mic. Samsung got this right. People I speak to say they work better than my Bose and Jabra headphones
