Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adama Hospital Medical College (AHMC) on August 6, 2026, to strengthen collaboration in education, research, technology transfer, and healthcare innovation.
The partnership will focus on joint research; artificial intelligence (AI) applications in healthcare; biomedical engineering; technology transfer; staff capacity building; academic exchange; and resource sharing.

ASTU hosted Dr. Pak Hunkyun, Chief Executive Officer of SOLARINNO Tech-Company, South Korea, who delivered a seminar and demonstrated the company's innovative water treatment (defluoridation) technology. The event, organized by the Office of Internationalization and Partnership, brought together ASTU faculty members, researchers, students, industry partners, and stakeholders from Adama City with a shared interest in sustainable water treatment solutions.

Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gambella University on July 4, 2026, at the ASTU President's Office.
The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration between the two universities in key areas, including human resource development, institutional capacity building, joint applied research projects, technology transfer, staff and student exchange programs, the organization of scientific events, and the promotion of research findings for application in relevant public and private sectors.

Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) successfully hosted its 7th Annual Job Expo 2026 under the theme፡ “Engineering Ethiopia’s Future Workforce: From Classroom to Industry.” The event was held on June 22, 2026, at Borati Hall, followed by job exhibition booths and networking sessions at the University’s New Multipurpose Hall.
The expo brought together the University’s top management, academic leaders, representatives from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), more than 40 recruiting organizations, and the graduating Class of 2026.
