Coforge Technologies came to our Campus for mass hiring for the role of Software Developer. The process started with a communication round which consisted of 3 sections: Listening, Speaking, and Grammar MCQs. I got shortlisted for the next round which was scheduled days later. The second round was an Online Assessment consisting of three sections: Aptitude, Technical MCQs, and Coding. A total of 1:30 hrs was allotted to solve all the sections (30 minutes for Aptitude, 35 for MCQs, and 25 for Coding).
ONLINE ASSESSMENT:
The Aptitude section was too easy and consisted of fundamental questions on reasoning, Data Interpretation, and Quants. I managed to solve all the questions and cleared the cut-off marks.
The Technical MCQs were based on the basic concepts of Programming, OOPs, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, and SQL. I solved all the questions and cleared the cut-off marks yet again.
The Coding question was based on Fractional Knapsack and 25 minutes were allotted to solve the question. I solved the question and got shortlisted for the interview the same day.
INTERVIEW PROCESS:
I went to the cabin and one interviewer was sitting there. He started with my introduction and asked questions about the projects mentioned in my CV. Then he started with Databases followed by OOPs, Data Structures, Sorting, and Programming Questions. Here's below the list of the questions which were asked:
- What is the difference between DDL and DML?
- Write a SQL query to find the students who secured more than 40% marks
- What is Normalization and how can you normalize the table?
- What do you understand by OOPs?
- What are the basic principles of OOPs?
- What is polymorphism and the difference between Run-time and Compile-time polymorphism?
- What is inheritance and its types?
- What is the difference between Abstraction and Interface?
- What are arrays?
- What is Linked List and its types?
- Can we achieve a circular linked list from a singly linked list?
- Sort the following array using any of the sorting algorithms you've studied.
- Write a program to print the Fibonacci Series.
Overall, the interview process was very good and a positive response from the interviewer was received.
