Hello everyone, for a long time now, when asked âhow long can you continueâ - Iâve always answered âuntil my performances sufferâ.....
I hate to say it, but that time has come.
For some years now, Iâve been struggling with the onset of the evil arthritis, which is now in an advanced state in my left shoulder and right hand, established in my right shoulder, and present in both knees. Iâve been fighting this with painkilling pills, gels, and recently with cortisone injections in my shoulder and hand.
Although, I was able to put bass lines to the songs for the new album, there were questions whether Iâd be able to complete the recent European tour without incident, so we asked our good friend Davey Rimmer from Uriah Heep, and of course Elegant Weapons, to learn the set list to stand in for me if I had to pull out, which I did for the London show. This was due to me snapping a tendon in my left shoulder (as if I didnât have enough problems with it!) just before the encores during the Brussels show two days before. This led to me not being able to lift my arm enough to reach the neck of my bass. So we had to call Davey to stand in for me, who put in an incredible performance at such short notice!

News: Lunatic Soul - From Studio Project to Full Band
New Album and First Ever Tour Coming in 2027!
Mariusz Duda (ex-Riverside) has announced the line-up of the new incarnation of Lunatic Soul.
To date, Lunatic Soul has been exclusively a studio project.
Following the changes that took place earlier this year (when Duda decided to leave Riverside and focus exclusively on Lunatic Soul), it is now clear that the project is set to evolve into a full band.
Duda has shared a photo revealing the new quartetâs line-up, which sees him joined by guitarist Mateusz Owczarek (who previously made a guest appearance on "Wasteland" by Riverside, among other releases), keyboardist and music producer Michaïżœ' Fox Krol, and drummer Michal âMalinaâ Malinski.

The brand new single from legendary guitarist Tony Iommi is released today. Entitled âStormwatcherâ it rides on a signature guitar riff from the man who was the driving musical force behind Black Sabbathâs garlanded career.

News: Unreleased Van Halen 1974 demo to be released with limited edition book
Genesis Publications is delighted to reveal that the exclusive 7" vinyl record accompanying Alex Van Halenâs official signed limited edition, VAN HALEN, will feature 'Glitter', a previously unreleased demo recorded in 1974. Created exclusively for the VAN HALEN signed limited edition, the 7" picture disc features artwork based on the bandâs iconic 1984 tour design.
Featuring Alex Van Halen and Eddie Van Halen alongside David Lee Roth and original bassist Mark Stone, 'Glitter' captures Van Halen at the very beginning of their story. News: Gandalf's Fist Announce New Album GĆshollow, Pre-Orders Now Open
British progressive rock band Gandalf's Fist have announced their new studio album, GĆshollow, and opened pre-orders today (9 September 2026) ahead of a release on 6 November. The UK-based Prog-Rock Wizards, formed in 2005, have built a devoted following over eight studio albums and several acclaimed rock operas, with 2022's Widdershins earning a 9/10 review from DPRP, 2016âs The Clockwork Fable allying former members of Iron Maiden with Actors from Gremlins, and 2014's A Forest of Fey named among Classic Rock Magazine's best prog albums of that year.
GĆshollow expands the narrative universe the band began with their festive singles âWinter's Mourningâ and âWitchwoodâ, both of which appear on the album in remastered form alongside seven new tracks. The record follows the story of a woodland cursed by a broken bargain, a manor lord turned into a vengeful spirit, a Frost Mage who claims a soul each winter, and a village that cuts too deep into the forest for its own good...
The album will be available as a CD Digipak, a strictly limited double vinyl (fewer than 300 copies), and the Woodsman's Tinderbox, a bespoke wooden box engraved by the band, edition limited to under 100 copies, each containing an expanded 24-page booklet.

News: The Flower Kings announce 18th studio album HOPE
After more than three decades of pushing the boundaries of progressive rock, The Flower Kings return with the new album, HOPE, due out on the 23rd October, 2026 on InsideOutMusic. The follow-up to 2025âs LOVE, stands as both a celebration of their legacy and a bold artistic statement. The album also finds the band returning to the side-long epic, with tracks clocking in at 18 and 28 minutes.
Rather than chasing trends or revisiting past glories, the band has crafted a work that comfortably exists between refined musicianship and fearless ambition.

News: TONY IOMMI Releases World Alone And Announces New Solo Album
Black Sabbath's co-founding guitarist, Tony Iommi, has just announced his first solo record in over two decades, From The Dark, will be out this fall via BMG Records. Alongside news of the record is a brand new track, titled, "World Alone," a futuristic, dystopian track that details The Believer, the lead protagonist, being thrown through a twisted video game to try to save his own life. You can check out the music video for the single below.
The forthcoming record will see vocalist Jorn Lande and Tony Iommi sharing credits across all songs, as well as drummer Karl Brazil and bassist Becky Baldwin. Iommi, of course, had a hand in producing the record alongside longtime collaborator, Mike Exeter, who managed many of the technical portions of the project such as engineering.

News: STEVE HACKETT & STEVE ROTHERY announce The Roaring Waves
Two titans of progressive music, Steve Hackett (Genesis) and Steve Rothery (Marillion), come together for the first time on âThe Roaring Wavesâ - Seven instrumental tracks that range from the dexterously ridiculous to the brilliantly sublime, though with one common theme: the profundity of the sea.
