The Battle Creek Field of Flight is an outstanding air show and hot-air balloon festival held annually at the Battle Creek Executive Airport. This incredible Battle Creek Air Show was voted one of the Best Air Shows in North America several years running.

Enjoy both military and civilian aircraft, hot-air balloons, live entertainment, food vendors, carnival, two firework shows, and so much more! Fun for the entire family!

Battle Creek Field of Flight Fireworks are held:

  • Wednesday, July 1st at 10:30 PM (dusk) 
  • Saturday, July 4th at 10:30 PM (dusk).

Four days of Air Show Action (July 2 – July 5, 2026) during the 2026 Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show & Balloon Festival.

Please note:

  • All activities are subject to change or cancellation for weather or any unforeseen circumstances.
  • All scheduled activities/events are “weather permitting”. SO, if it's rainy or windy the air show/balloons may not happen. 
  • Cash or credit cards are accepted for admission at the gate.
  • Cash only for parking (credit cards not accepted) so be sure to BRING CASH.  ATM’s are available at Gate Admissions but it's always a good idea to bring cash.
  • You can purchase carnival tickets in advance online. 


Handicap Accessible Parking & Shuttle

Handicap Parking with Handicap Sticker or License Plate: Upon entrance to the parking lots located off Helmer Road, advise Parking Volunteers that you or someone in the vehicle is handicapped. You will be directed to the designated Handicap Parking Area. There is a free shuttle service that operates to and from the Handicap Parking area to the main gate.

  • 4:00 pm Parking and Event is OPEN to guests
  • 4:00 pm Venders and Skerbeck Carnival open
  • 6:30 pm  Flippenout trampoline show
  • 7:00 pm Hot Air Balloon Launch or Fly-In
  • 7:30 pm Firekeepers presents Field of Rock with The American Ride Toby Keith Tribute 
  • 9 PM Oaklawn Hospital presents Flippenout trampoline show 
  • 9:15 PM Kalsee Credit Union presents the mesmerizing Hot-Air Balloon Illume. Spectators will be permitted to go out on the field with the balloons during the Illume 
  • 10:00 pm: Smoke-n-Thunder Hot Streak ll Jet Truck Night Run with Hayden Proffitt II
  • 10:30 pm: Fireworks
