In addition to the programming language APIs available with ImageMagick, GraphicsMagick also includes a Tcl API, called TclMagick.[3]

GraphicsMagick is used by several websites to process large numbers of uploaded photographs.[4] [5] As of 2023, GraphicsMagick had 4 active code contributors while ImageMagick had 24 active contributors.[6]

The most recent stable release of GraphicsMagick, version 1.3.45, was made available on August 27, 2024.[7]
