September 10....Kambree had a game in Yakima.
Before we left Britton said a prayer and in it he said "We are so excited for our new baby to come, but please keep him with you a little bit longer"
And He did.....just a little bit longer.....
That night I went to bed and was talking with Britton about how I wasn't quite ready for the baby to come. I still had a few things I wanted to get done in his room, and a house to clean,
and I told him I was gearing myself up mentally for labor.
But Little Ethan had other ideas.
I slept so good that night! I didn't wake up until around 5 am.....when I rolled over in bed and my water broke! I was in denial, so I got up, cleaned myself up and went back to bed.
But I was pretty uncomfortable.
Then I decided a bath would help. It didn't really.
By then Britton was awake and ready to get me to the hospital.
I texted my friend/midwife.
We met her at the hospital around 6:15 am.
By 7:15 Ethan Howard Fort made his grand entrance into the world!
So much for getting things done.
We've been behind ever since.
But...we sure do love him and the spirit he has brought to our home!
However...one nurse was bold enough to tell me that "White men don't make babies like that!"
