End of the season Soccer
We just ended Erin's soccer game last month. Here are some pictures of her with her friends at the end of the season Soccer party. The girls all sat together at this tall table.
Here is Erin getting her trophy and yes she does have a mustache on. She got it out of the vending machine and thought it was hilarious.
Here is a team picture. Very sweet group of girls that we are hoping she ends up on the same team with next year!

Seattle Children's Theater - Robin Hood
Erin's 3rd grade class got to go up to Seattle to the Seattle Children's Theater to see the play Robin Hood this past week. It was such a good play and the kids really enjoyed it! Above is the group of kids that was assigned to me. Reden, Erin, Bryan, and Erin's best buddy Taijhalia.

Angel breakfast
Regan was very excited to finally be old enough to help out for church events. Here she is helping at the annual Angel breakfast the church holds each year at about this time of year.
Erin jumped in for a photo op moment to hold baby Jesus.

Meeting the big guy
What is a visit to Disney without meeting Mickey? This is one I insisted we let Erin wait in line for. We gotta have a picture with Mickey!
Plus she got his autograph too.

Star Wars
This ride was super fun. It was a virtual ride that felt like you were taking off and C3PO was the pilot. Complete with 3D glasses and wind blowing your hair back. The kids thought it was super fun that one of the times we rode this ride the screen came up and said you are carrying a rebel spy and Mom's picture came on the screen!
I would have loved to have seen my nephews faces riding this ride! Plus right next door to this they had Jedi training which was completely adorable to watch this little bitty ones with the Jedi robes on fighting Darth Maul with their Lightsabers.

Hollywood Studios
Here you can see in the distance the Tower of Terror. Yep. . .it's SCARY!
Walking up to the Tower of Terror. Creepy music playing and foreshadowing of scary things ahead. . .
Yeah it was pretty intense. You get in and the elevator drops and then springs back up and you bounce up and down several times and then pitch black.
This was a ride our family could only handle once. Then we needed something like the Rockin Roller Coaster which I seriously had NO idea was as fast and scary as it was. Wowza if you decide to head down there just hold on tight for that one!
Celebrity intermission:
Erin got to stop and meet Chip and Dale
I think they were happy to see her, what do you think?
She also got to see a topiary of Mater and Lightening. She asked me if we could cut our bushes like this in our yard. Ummm if I even began to know how they did that, then just maybe.
Maybe only Christian and I appreciated this as we were sitting in the theater looking up in the balcony to see Statler and Waldrof. This was like living any child of the 80s dream come true, sitting in the theater with the Muppets!
I think that Hollywood Studios may have been my favorite park!

Food and lots of it
Probably the best thing I am so glad we ended up doing was purchasing the Dining Plan. We paid for this in advance and it allowed us to just use our room key to pay for one Quick Service meal a day for each of us and a Table Service meal. We also each got one snack a day. Honestly it was more food than we could eat.
We ate at lots of fun places like the 50's Diner. Where it was all decorated exactly like a 50's kitchen and the waitresses were more like moms. They would come out and put the dishes on the table and say no kids you set the table. They would sometimes come back in and say elbows off the table. When it was time for dessert the waitress said okay if everyone has finished all their veggies you get to have dessert. They were pretty funny!
Here we are waiting in the living room for our table.

Above was probably my favorite meal we ate while we were there. This was in Magic Kingdom in Frontier Land. The restaurant was called The Liberty Tree Tavern. They were all dressed in historical clothing from turn of the century. The meal was served family style and if we finished all of say the Mashed Potatoes they would bring out more. It was pretty much a thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings. Yummy comfort foods!
I'm actually surprised I look that chipper in that photo. The heat had really gotten to me that first day and I had one WOWZER of a headache. I was sitting there waiting patiently for my Tylenol to start working.
