Addicted to My Cell Phone

Soooo...a big reason I haven't been blogging in forever is because I'm hardly ever on my laptop.  I do just about everything on my treasured iphone these days.  I should figure out how to blog from my cell phone I guess.  Check my facebook for pictures! I'm hoping I can get organized and declutter my house a bit so that I can finally get a desktop computer for my built-in desk in my kitchen area.  I haven't had a desktop since before living in Korea. Then I can get all my pictures organized and blog blog blog.  And make my photo book for the year 2011 that is long over due.
This season marks 10 years that Aaron and I have been dating.  I just love this picture of us. :)  And yes...that is my iphone clutched in my fingers. Told you I was addicted!

Happy Easter 2010

Camp Humphreys Eggstravaganza

Wow I can't believe how many people were at the Post's Easter Egg Hunt. It was a mad-house. Or should I say mad-field? Hundreds of people showed up. We still had fun and the boys got a few cool things to put into their baskets I got for them in Australia.

Our "Holiday" in Australia

We were lucky enough to take a much needed vacation (or holiday as they would say in Australia) Down Under. The weather was WARM. I got to fulfill a childhood dream and hold a koala. Aaron got to surf every day at some of the best surf spots in the world. Unfortunately, I did not ever get a picture of him surfing this trip. He usually went surfing really early in the morning while the boys were still sleeping. Or I was too busy watching the boys on the beach to sit and wait for Aaron to catch waves with camera in hand and ready. The beaches were amazing. Probably the best I've ever been too. And I lived in Hawaii for 4 years. Overall, I think this is the best vacation we've ever had...and we've had a lot of great vacations. Here's lots of pictures from our trip. To see 100+ photos from the trip, check out my facebook page, it's a lot easier to load photos there.

I got to hold a Koala! Yay!

The koalas were so cute! There were lots of them!

Joshua learned to say "koala" while we were there. One of his maybe 5 words

Gabe in front of the koalas

Gabe checkin out the big bird

We got close to this one!

There were lots of kangaroos to feed...the boys LOVED this, even Joshy.

View from our hotel room

Gabe found lots of shells at the beach

Joshy being cute

Joshy LOVED the ocean

My favorite pic of Joshy

Gabe did not like the ocean so much...was convinced there were sharks and was scared of the waves. I think that hurt Aaron's feelings a little bit. Joshy made up for it, always wanting to be in the water.

Australia Pics

Gabe building sand castles...he stole my spot

Aaron took Josh out to the sandbar...Joshy just LOVED the water

This is my favorite pic of Gabriel

Is he playing in it or eating it?

Hong Kong Pics

On our way to Australia, we were lucky enough to find a flight with a whole 24 hour layover in Hong Kong. So we got a hotel room for the night, and went exploring. We spontaneously decided to take the boys to Disneyland, and then we went downtown to explore. Hong is truly an amazing city and we were blown away by how beautiful it was. Here's some pics. Enjoy! I'll get the Australia pics loaded sometime in the next few days.
The kiddos being cute while we were at a stopover in Taiwan. Funny thing, these weren't even our seats!

Gabriel loving the train ride in Hong Kong. Their metro system there was really good. And cheap.

Aaron and I at a transfer station in Hong Kong. Taking in the view. We've got a future Wickley photographer in Gabriel!

The metro line that went to Disneyland was all Disney'd out, including Mickey Mouse shaped windows!

Yay for Disneyland! It was so fun! So they've been to Disneyland in Hong Kong now, but not in the States. Hmmmmm....

Gabriel pretending to surf like Mickey Mouse! That fountain was way cool.

Aaron and the boys in front of Disneyland. Aaron claims it looks just like the LA one. He should know, he's been there a bunch since he lived in Sou Cal.

Aaron and Gabe on the Dumbo ride-Gabe got to watch this movie on the flight home from Australia with their on Demand personal movie system thing.

me and Joshy on the Dumbo ride...kind of a scary up close picture...but I like it.
Disneyland was so fun! We went to a Stitch show where they pick people from the audience to interact with and they picked Gabriel. Surpringly, Gabriel mumbled his name into the mic. I was proud of him. Even if I had to clarify in the mic for him. Gabriel is pretty hard to say, especially when you're 3 and you're really shy. He LOVES Stitch. So that lucky kid got a stitch robot and visor cap for souvenirs.

Aaron and me in the streets of dowtown Hong Kong. There were LOTS of people! It was definitely tough with a stroller but we managed. Somehow. It was a late night, but we had a lot to pack into a 24 hour layover.
