Cooper's 10th Birthday

I am slow but I have to brag about this sweet little man!  My Cooper turned 10 on December 26th and it is just very hard to believe that 10 years ago they placed the most beautiful, tiny, sweet, dark haired baby into my arms.  I remember thinking..."they are just going to send me home with this tiny baby?"  I was terrified and thrilled and emotional all at the same time. I just remember those first months of late nights with him screaming in my arms rocking him by the washing machine (the only thing that would calm him down), or watching all those firsts rolling, crawling, smiling, sitting, walking, talking.  I never knew being a mother was so rewarding until he came around!

Watching Cooper grow up to be the boy he is today has been my privilege.  I could not be more proud of him and the decisions he has made over the years and for the example he is to his little brother and sister, let's be honest...to his mom as well!
Cooper is a friend to everyone.  I loved reading the card that his class made him at school this year, everyone of the kids wrote that they liked him because he was so nice or that he was a friend to everyone or that he includes everyone at recess.  To me, to have a 10 year old boy who is kind to everyone is special, and Cooper is certainly special
I can not believe what a helper this kid is...lots of times without me even asking him.  I love that he is my little man of the house and he takes care of shoveling the sidewalk and taking the garbage out any time I ask him to.  His little grin gets me every time and those big brown eyes and long lashes? Forget about it!!!

He is so loved in our little family and just fun to be around...we love this little man so much!  Great things are in store for him I know it!  I love you Cooper

Look Who's Two!!!

Happy Birthday Miss Lucy...We Love You!!!

I can not believe this little darling is already two years old....how could that be?  She is growing up so fast, I didn't even realize what a big girl she is becoming until I saw these pictures I took of her.  She is quite the gal and we love, love, love her so much!

Her favorite things: Her big brother's (Tooper and Driffen), Minnie Mouse, Tangled, Elmo, Horses, Hello Kitty and she is still very attached to those baby dolls of hers (all are named Sarah).  She is a little mommy and loves to take care of them.  She loves to be outside, and loves to color (markers only please), I am so impressed with her coloring skills she is really good!

Favorite Color: She likes pink, blue and yellow.  But when she is coloring she always reaches for the black marker first.

If you see Lucy lately her fingernails will probably look like they need to be washed seriously bad as well as mine for that matter...let me explain!  She insists on "painting" our nails with her markers every time she colors, which is daily.  At first I thought it was adorable and now I just wish I could keep those cute little nails clean!

Lucy talk and talks....and TALKS!  I can't believe the way she can have a conversation with me, it is so cute!

Favorite food: Sausage, spaghetti and broccoli.  She likes home made meatballs and ranch...lots of Ranch!  Her motto is, "everything tastes better with ranch!"

Her favorite Books are: From Head to Toe by Eric Carl, Olivia, How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight and Goodnight Sleep Tight.  We read them over and over and over, I love it when she asks me to read to her and she snuggles right into my lap.

She can count to 14 and she can sing her ABC's all by herself

Lucy loves to play with her brothers, she can always talk Griffen into playing hide and seek and Cooper loves to read to her.  The are so protective of her and since school has started and with other things they complain that they don't get to see her enough, melts my heart! You should see the three of them playing Just dance...it's the best!

She is still very attached to her blanket and has to be wrapped up in it just right!  I love our nightly bedtime story routine when she lets me wrap her up in blankie and rock her to sleep...there is nothing better!

She is a little sweetheart I am so thankful for her sweet little soul and all the happiness she has brought to our little family!

Fright Night

This Halloween was fun, it's a favorite holiday at our house.  My boys had been planning their costumes for months.  When I asked Cooper what he wanted to be it started with Babe Ruth and somehow evolved to a lumberjack zombie!  Griffy started with a skeleton and it evolved to the Grimm Reaper.  Lucy said Minnie right from the start and there was no changing her mind even if I wanted to.

The boys dressed up and went to school Halloween morning and Lucy and I went to Main Street just the two of us and went trick-or-treating.  She kept asking, "Where Tooper and Driffy go?"  We had lots of fun, she loved seeing all the cute kids dressed up and even saw a cute little Micky and a Cookie Monster and Pluto...she was so excited!  When we were done we sat on the lawn at the Tabernacle and shared some of her hard earned sweets.

Later that night the boys and I met up with their cousins and went trick-or-treating with them.  Our favorite houses had hot dogs, cotton candy and hot chocolate!  There were never houses like that when I was little.  We got home late and of course they had to sort their treats.  I was okay with that, it helped me plan my plan of attack on their candy:) It has been sooo hard to stay away from all that yummy candy, I really do have a sweet tooth!

It was a great year and i think my little spooks are just adorable!
