Whenever my sister comes into town she becomes Madisen's playmate. She is so good with her and Madisen loves her. They play games like Memory and Brooke will play Barbies or whatever else Madisen wants. And she always gets a makeover. And of course she has to pose for the camera. Am I in trouble? Well, lets just say I don't look forward to 16.

My poor Baby
Yesterday, at about 3:00 I was walking down the stairs with my baby on my hip when I lost my footing and slid down the stairs. Tatum fell and hit her face on the stairs. I didn't think that it was that bad, because I took most of the fall. But as the night went on I realized that she was not acting her self. She was very lethargic and she would cry for no reason. I decided after a couple of hours that I should take her to the emergency room. Upon arrival, the nurse looked at Tatum and realized that her pupils were not responding the way the should so the doctor ordered at CAT scan. We did the scan and while waiting for the results we realized that something was wrong with her leg. So they took X Rays and we found out the Tatum had a fracture on her femur. Sutter Dela did not have a Pediatric Ortho so the transferred us to The Children's Hospital in Oakland. It was a long horrible night. This morning at 8:00 a.m. Tatum was put into a cast that she will have to wear for 4 weeks. It's a horrible cast that covers most of her body. I'm not looking forward to these 4 weeks, but I'm glad that her CT scan came back normal and that everything else was OK.

Is Santa Real?
The problem is this, she asked me about Santa last year and I told her the same thing, now this year not only did she ask if he was real, but she questioned whether or not I was putting the Santa gifts under the tree.
What should I do? Do I continue telling her he is real, when she has doubts? I'm not ready for her stop believing. I thought I had another couple of years. Will she ruin it for her brother if she finds out the truth? I have been thinking about this for the last couple of days. I am I bad for lying to my daughter. Help, me does anyone have any advice?

It's the most busy time of the year

Next, my Aunt decided to come into town for a week(7 days). At the same time Madisen had a birthday December 6. 5 days after my birthday. It was on a Thursday so I had to make Cupcakes to take to her class, and I had to get last minute things for her party that was going to be on Saturday. I also took her to ChuckECheese on Thursday night. I had to make her birthday really special because last year she didn't get a party because I was dying from my pregnancy. The birthday party went really well. There were 6 girls there including Madisen. It was a Polly Pocket birthday party. The girls dressed up in Polly Pocket attire and they went on a Polly Pocket scavenger hunt. They also pinned the Flower on Polly and made picture frames.

We also bought our Christmas Tree and had
lots of fun putting it up while listening to Christmas music.
Yesterday for FHE we went to the temple to look at the lights. At home our tradition was to go the The Living Desert Reserve which is a Zoo. Wildlights is what it is called. They put xmas lights everywhere and they have Santa and hot coco. We've gone every year and we missed it this year so the Temple was our "wildlights" this year. The kids enjoyed it. But they did miss the Train and Santa.

Thanksgiving weekend fun

We went to Nampa (Boise) for Thanksgiving. It was alot of fun. We
arrived on Wednesday night. Thursday while the turkey was cooking Grandma and Dave took the kids to feed the ducks at the creek down the road. They loved it. Then later that night we all stuffed our faces with some very delicious food.
My mom and her husband Dave, Trent and me
On Saturday we went up the Mountain a bit and played in the snow. The kids had a blast. They were rolling in it, and they made snow angels.

Yippy for Thanksgiving
I'm looking forward to this Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving dinner. I look forward to it all year. I think this year I'm even more excited because I missed out on it last year. While most people were enjoying their families and having yummy food, I was in the emergency room. Have you ever been to the emergency room on a holiday? Not fun!!! I was 3 months pregnant. And I could not keep anything down. Not crackers, not water, not bread. I was loosing weight and I became very dehydrated. Severe Hyperemesis Gravidarum is what they call it. Well, Hyperevomitsis(that's what I call it) is NOT fun. My best friend becomes the toilet. And with this last pregnancy I couldn't walk or I would fall over. I literally laid on the couch all day long. Trent took care of the kids in the morning, a friend took Madisen to and from school, and poor Jaden got completely neglected. I had to crawl to the kitchen to pour him his Gatorade. I looked like a Holocaust survivor. I lost 15lbs. Which I didn't have to loose in the first place. It was not fun. So anyway, on Thanksgiving, I was just getting worse and I was literally throwing up every 1/2 hour. So Trent took me to the emergency room, I stayed there all day having fluids pumped into my body. 3 liters to be exact. That's a lot of fluid. When I finally got to go home, my husband drove me to his dad's house, that's where we were having Thanksgiving. I was still very week and could only handle small amounts of Gatorade. So I sat on the couch, dying while everyone else ate dinner. Talk about torture. I was very bummed because I love Turkey dinner. And I couldn't eat any. I ended up going to the hospital 3 times during my pregnancy to be re hydrated, and my doctor was on the Verge on hospitalizing me indefinitely. I've come to the conclusion that my body does not know how to take care of 2 people at a time. Each time I try to make it, it fights back very violently so, I've given up the fight, my body wins. Tatum is my last baby. Sometimes I feel guilty. Am I a bad person for not wanting more? Am I being selfish? Am I just a wimp? I know Trent would like to have more. But I just can't do it again. With each pregnancy it's gotten worse, what could be worse than being in the hospital? I guess I could try and see but it scares me to death.

Tagged
Here are the rules:
A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning. B. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves. C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asks them to read your blog.
1. I am very annal about being organized.
When I was growing up, my mom was the most dis-organized person I knew. Her cupboards were a disaster and she had Nick-knacks galore. I could not stand it and I would organize her closets and cupboards for her. As a result, I try to keep my things very organized. I clean out my pantry regularly, and my other cupboards at least once a month. It drives me batty when I go to my cupboards and they are all in disarray. I've had to have words with my husband, who trys to help out but then puts things away out of order.

2. When I was 15 my sister who was 11 and I flew to Spain, by ourselves.
Yes, I have to ask myself what my mom was thinking. I really don't know if I would send my daughter to a forgien country by herself at that age. But my mom and dad did. And the flight there was a breeze. But on the way back, we had a layover in Newark and then the flight was delayed and then it was canceled. here I was in a huge airport, traveling for the first time by my self with my sister. It was an experience I will never forget.
3. I don't wash my face before I go to bed.
Yes, it is true. This is me first thing in the morning. I am very lazy, every once in a while I will get in the "I feel like washing my face" mood and I'll do it for like a week, but then I quickly forget or get lazy and just go to bed with my make up still on. I'm told that this is the quickest way to age, but I just can't quite make a habit of it.

Middle name Woes

Have you ever been asked a question by one on your kids that just stumps you? A question that makes you wonder how on earth they even thought to ask such a question. Well my kids do it to me ALL the time. Especially Madisen. She has come up with some real thought provoking Her latest inquiry has left me puzzled.
Jaden was getting in trouble(for what I don't remember but it probably had to do with him not wanting to put his toys away, again.) "Jaden Trent Homec!" I proceeded to scold him, then went about my day. Madisen, being the inquisitive little girl that she is, came to me later that day and asked, "Mom, who is Shea?" I was bewildered. "Shea?" I didn't know anyone by this name. "Why?" asked. "Well, that's my middle name." And then it became clear where she was going with this line of questioning. "Why, is Jaden named after somebody and I'm not?" How do you answer such a question? Why is my 6 year old asking me such questions? How do I explain that the names I had to work with were Mish, Evelyn, Verna and Ana (which isn't that bad but it's been used too many times) And our mom's name, Lee Ann and Iliana were too long next to Madisen. Not to mention the fact that I was lucky to be getting a girl with Trent's gene pool. If I picked my mom's name what if I didn't have another girl so that I could use Tren't mom's name? Never in my wildest
dreams did I think I would ever be asked this question. If I did than Madisen might be Madisen Mish Home.(insert any of the other) I felt bad, and now I regretting giving her the middle name that I did. At the time I figured using a family name was not that important. Well, I was wrong. And now my little girl has to go around with the name Shea. I've doomed her to an awful fate. I explained to her that Tatum didn't have any one's name either. Marie is not a family name. (I didn't tell her that we considered using my name for Tatum's middle name.) I'm very glad that I didn't. She seems to be OK with my answer, "Oh, so Jaden has dad's name because he's the only boy." she said. (Sure, that sounds good.) Good thing I'm not having anymore boys. But now I've been plagued with this guilt. Was I wrong to not name my girls after a family member? Will, Madisen be scared? I'm sure she won't but, she have realized that deep thought needs to be used when making a decision about my kids. Especially where Madisen is concerned.

Home Sweet Home

can I not be upset. I have to try to get my house rented and if not then I have to pay for 2 houses. And it's right before the holidays. Anyway, last night instead of blogging I went to craigslist and posted an Ad for our house. It wasn't as fun of course but it had to be done. The only problem is, that it made me miss my house. I LOVED our house. It was 4 bedrooms 2700 sqf. It had upgraded carpet and tile. Granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, upgraded cabinetry and my laundry room had a sink. Trent and I spent 6 straight days painting the house. I loved
the colors that we used. The floor plan was perfect. Doesn't this make you want to rent my
house? Anyway, even if you don't want my house, I do. I miss it very much. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I hate the home that I'm in now, I just don't love it. It's hard to give up something
that you love. But I've been trying to be a good supportive wife and keep my feellings to myself. My poor kids have been talking non-stop about missing their friends, it's been hard for Trent, so I thought I would share my feeling with you fellow bloggers. I've enjoyed the people I've met and am happy that I found a home as nice as I did out here but it's not MY home.
