Jokes!
The other day while I was work, I happened to wander into the lunch room. There were some chocolate covered nuts rolled in powder sugar. I love chocolate covered nuts so I grabbed a bowl and started to pour some. At that point one of the Docs (We won't mention any names)came in along with one of the PA's. He says "how can you eat those things? Do you know what they look like?" I made some comment which has left my mind due to powder sugar inhalation. He says "smell them they smell like poop". So I put my bowl to my nose to take a wif and viola the Doc shoves the bowl to my face leaving powder sugar all over my face. Almost immediately he and the PA fall to the floor in laughter. LOL it was pretty funny. It also happened to be his birthday. All day I told him I would pay him back. So the next day I brought brownie poops to work. I made brownies and rolled them so they looked like poop and left them on a Kleenex on his chair. He nearly sat on them but I officially grossed him out and got him back. He wouldn't even try to eat one, but the same PA that was with him did and was lovin it. It was a fun couple of days. It is great being able to joke around with your co-workers. Thanks to the Doc!!!!

Happy Holidays
Ok, it is really late and I am feeling really emotional. Could be many things. But I wanted to take the moment to wish all a very Merry Christmas. We had many ups and downs this year and the economey didn't help. We have a wonderful home and a fantastic ward. I have a great job with a lot of friends who are my family away from home. We have many fun times together and laugh and cry together. We just celebrated my managers 5oth birthday and she was a great sport. We had a lot of fun with it and so did her husband. She is awesome to work for and so much fun. I am grateful for my wonderful husband and all that he does for us and our little family. He works very hard not only to provide for us financially but also emotionally. I love to watch the girls interact with him. I am so happy to have such a large circle of loving friends and family who are a great support to us. Thank you to all our life would not be the same without each and everyone of you. I hope we all take a few minutes from our hectic schedule and remember the reason for the season. May the Lords blessings shower you all.

Ok so I talked to a friend of mine about why people have to go PRIVATE! I heard some interesting things. I figured it had to be some serious stuff. Good luck to those of you who are going Private and to those of you who aren't. I feel concerned about some of these issues, but won't be going private just yet. I am still a little fickle with it. This week END will be busy with eye doc and dental appt. then we wrap it all up with Ward's company party. TATA!!!

That makes all of them

Student of the week replay. Morgan received student of the week this week. I am so wondering if it is because they are moving to a new school. I have yet to decide if I will MAKE Morgan change schools though and her teacher knows that. Ok and for all of you bloggers. Why is everyone so hyped about going PRIVATE? I haven't had or heard of any special situations. So fill me in on the details. Don't we all shop online, bank online, etc, etc. Can't you change your settings without having to go private? I want to be in on the updates, I have had tons of people go "private", but it takes way more time to sign in to someones blog. Anyway, reading a blog or txt isn't the same as talking to someone in person. I hope I haven't offended anyone, that wasn't my intention. Just need a little education on the matter. However, I have made anyone under the age of 18 who I know has a blog go private. That is an entirely different situation. K fill me in.

Student of the week!!!

I am so excited to announce that two of my girls were recognized as student of the week this week. They were so excited. I have been dragging my feet with changing them to the school where we live. But most likely will do so the second week of Dec. I am waiting to talk to the Principal to see if Morgan can continue her 6th grade year at their current school.

Crazy times
Sorry I haven't posted pics lately. I have a ton to post but we are still between two houses. We are now sleeping at our new house. This Sat. my brother insisted on helping us move. So Late sat. night I crawled into bed at our new house. I told Ward "I feel like I might throw up!" This is something I don't do often. I hate it. Sure enough for one hour I had a party with our new toilet. Mean while everyone was sleeping peacefully. I was so sick clear into Sunday night. Finally around 10 PM I started to feel better, and by 2 Am I realized my fever wasn't coming back. It have been at least 8 years since I have been that sick. Any way hopefully I will have pics soon.

Dawe Family's Annual Halloween Party
We went to our traditional Dawe family Halloween party this year. There are plenty of people and lots of food and fun. This year they had dinner at Frankenstein's Diner. Every thing that was served was in the way of "Halloween". In other words we had Spooky appetizers such as Frankenstein cheese and crackers, Spooky eyeballs (meatballs that looked like eyeballs), then we had fresh fingers (bread sticks that looked like fingers), Eyeball fruit for our drinks, and the main "corps" was guts and finger nails (chili and Frito's). At the end of dinner were more treats that one could eat including boo lick Lolly pops, cupcakes, etc. There were games for the kids and imagine if you will around 20 kids blowing on whistles that were given out. Yeow my ears were ringin'. Enjoy the pics. I have so many pics that I have to make a slide show.

Happy Painting

Well, I convinced the girls to paint their pumpkins this year rather than carve them. I hate the mess and usually Ward and I end up finishing the whole fiasco. They weren't too happy at first. They love to have home baked pumpkin seeds. But soon they were digging through my craft room finding all my paints and paint brushes and they went to town.

Life
Hello it has been a while since my last post. Mostly I have just been really honorary. I seem to be pretty mellow at work then I come home and blow my steam. I just get really tired of working 10 hours and then walking into a mad house at 6 PM. Homework isn't done, the house is a mess, the TV is on etc. Ward has been trying to keep a lid on it all but he gets tired too. Our girls assisted some friends in putting glue on the neighbors swing set. To keep some other neighborhood kids from touching it. So our girls have been seriously grounded for two days. Morgan managed to completely organize my pantry and clean and organize the refrigerator. Way to go Morgan and I should say Sara did NOT put glue on the swing set. I was grateful that they were fessing up right a way. I also found out that Sara is behind for a 1st grader. Which floors me because she is reading and sounding out words really well. Ward came to my rescue and went to all P-T meetings the other night. Also Hailey is rushing through her work and not getting her homework done. Morgan is doing great, straight A's except when she takes her tests then it is a C C-. She is really stressing over tests I guess. HMMM must take after Mom.
We spent last weekend in Park City. It was great. The kids were not there and we had a great time with my brother, Pam, Gary ,and Danielle. This weekend we have flu shots, helping Pam move, and possibly going to Kangaroo Zoo with Grandpa and Grandma Barton again. Well, now that I rattled on. Sorry, to lazy to post pics this time. Oh and one last thing I went back to 3 10's at work again. As you can tell by my post, my kids are suffering from not having a Mom around.

Crazy busy times

I was thinking the other night that I never really posted what has gone on the last week or so. After Kristina had her cute little baby, Kristina ended up back in the hospital. She hemorrhaged really bad and the Dr. could not figure out why. This went on for hours. Finally the Dr. decides to do a D&C. Their findings were small bits of placenta still attached and causing all the bleeding. She is back at work now. She is really tired and dragging so if any of you have any advice as to what she can do to replace some of the protein and iron she lost we are all ears.
On the following weekend my Grandma Sanquist passed away. She is my Mom's Mom. Granny was 89 and live 30 years and 3 days without her love (Grandpa Sanquist). I could not travel down to CA to attend the funeral but my brother went and said it was a nice tribute to our Granny.

Welcome Madilyn Ann Kayda

I have another beautiful "Great" niece. Madilyn was born Sept. 4. She weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz and was 18 inches. She is just perfect. We don't know much about her kidney issue yet but I will add an update as I get them. They are going to do an ultrasound and they are also going to see if she wets her diaper in the first 24 hours. Other than that she is a healthy baby girl. Congrats to Alex and Kristina. They sure have cute kids.

Happy Anniversary

Aug. 26, 1995!!! That was the magical date. 13 years ago we were sealed in the SLC temple for time and all eternity. Ward and I met through mutual friends, and by our second date we knew we were going to get married. Ward was not active, and didn't serve a mission . Although he wanted too, that isn't the way it worked out. Ward and I loved to go up to the mountains and one day we were sitting on a rock when suddenly he got down on his knee. I started to laugh and he continued with his speech. I said yes, and 6 months later we were married. Ward is a great man. He is so easy going, and can relate to many different types of people making him so likable, and we have so much in common. We love to camp, snuggle our girls, be with family, shop, go on drives, and dream of our future. Now don't take me wrong, we have our issues. Like he folds his clothes before putting them in the hamper, washes brand new clothes, checking under the hood when we are all buckled in and ready to go, playing video games, touching me with his feet, always picking up after himself! LOL me, I clutter everything, throw my clothes on the floor next to my side of the bed, leave my curling iron and blow dryer out. Leave my glasses on the end table, being a back seat driver, letting the laundry pile up, etc. Wow notice how funny all of that is. But there is one thing we really truly believe in, and that is an eternal family. Nothing else matters. We strive to follow the teachings of the lord and raise a happy, well rounded, and eternal family. Although, we may not seem put together, and do a lot of bickering, we have the love and commitment it takes to strive toward our eternal goal. I love my husband and I am grateful for all he stands for.

Pendants
Hi all,
I have a friend who I went to Jr. High and High School with. We were also in the same ward for a while and had some good times together. Anyway, she and her husband are very talented and make Pendants out of Scrabble tiles. They are so awesome. I posted their link on my blog go check it out they are really cool.

Bubby's Back from Mexico

For those of you who don't know who Bubby is, that is my Brother. When I was a little girl, and yes I was little once, I could not say brother so I said Bubby. Anyway, he spent two weeks in Mexico and came for a surprise visit upon his return. The color of his skin is almost shocking especially when compared to my white as a ghost complexion. Yeah, I can't spell either.

But have had visits from some neighbors. We are excited to meet new friends.

We have a WINNER
ok, we have yet another verbal agreement and plan to sign a contract on Monday. We have looked from Provo to Lehi. We called every home in our neighborhood, and finally found two homes that accepted our applications. One was in Lehi and the other was in Pleasant Grove. Because of the market and the skidish lenders we have opted to do a long term rent. We chose the house in Pleasant Grove. It is 2400 Sq ft, and we can still have our animals. We cannot keep our beautiful sweet lab Lily. She is the best dog. But we have had the others too long and can't get rid of them. We are very sad. But we have to move on. We should be all moved before the 1st of Aug. Wish us luck.

Life
Ok, you think you are doing the right thing, and then you just can't seem to get it right. We don't get to move into the neighbors house after all. Long story that I don't feel like getting into. When we know what turn our life will take I will let you know.

Addindum to Avoiding Everyone
Ok, if you didn't read my last blog. Do read it or you will be confused. It is 11:18 PM and we just spent the last 2 hrs talking to our neighbors who live in Ogden but also own the home next door which has sat vacant for a while now. We are able to lease their house until the market gets better and the lenders are more comfortable with lending again. We are really excited. It is a really nice house and they are great people. I am a still sad about the house in Eagle Mt cuz I have a close friend out there too. But Ward really felt strong about the decision to stay here and I really love the ward here. So we are staying. I am just glad to have a stable home finally. So we move next door and stay put. Yippee!!!!!
Avoiding Everyone
"Everybody say good bye house!" Name that movie. Ok, I will help it is Toy Story. Yes that is right we have to say goodbye one more time. We are totally heart broken, depressed, confused, etc. We found out that the owner of this house has to move back in. Good thing we hadn't signed a contract. The lady who owns this home is the nicest person. She too had to say goodbye to her home in TX. We just cannot figure out how a place were we feel so good could be wrong. We just got this news two weeks ago. We have looked high and low to find a home here in this ward. Nothing and I mean nothing is working.
There is some good news. We have found a very nice home that we can purchase and be stable in. Bad news it is in Eagle Mt. I really, really love the area it is beautiful and peaceful. The price is right. But the drive isn't. We have exhausted all of our efforts and prayed endlessly. Even though that is the last place we economically wanted to be it seems to be the only place or area I should say that is in our favor. The Lord works in mysterious ways and everything happens for a reason. Last night we had a family prayer just for this situation and today we are feeling more peaceful. We have not closed yet and don't have a set date yet. Verbally we have agreed to Aug. 11. We would appreciate every one's love and support in this difficult decision. I have spoken with many who are so sad. Eagle Mt. is 20 min. west of I-15 and Lehi. We are really excited for a stable home (finally) but so so sad to leave our ward and some wonderful friendships we have made the last 2 months. TTFN!

Sara's toothless
Sara has had one loose tooth for a week or so. The other day I noticed that the permanent tooth was coming in behind the baby tooth. Today we went to the dentist and he pulled out the loose tooth and the one next to it. The loose tooth came out very quick and easy. The one next too it not so much. The tooth went flying across the room and almost hit Morgan (she has a weak stomach, as we found out today). Sara did a great job she didn't even cry. I totally believe in peditricians and pediatric dentists. They specialize in children and seem to be the ones who can get to their level. She loved the laughing gas, which smelled like bubble gum (yuk to me). I took a picture of the teeth. It is hard to see but the one that wasn't loose has this huge cone shaped root. After our trip to the dentist, the girls and I went and had a trim. Sara however, loves to have her hair A-lined and she wanted all of her beautiful long hair off. So she did. The bangs by the way were another story. Here in Orem she suffers from really bad eye allergies. I had to take her hm from sacrament on Sunday to give her some meds. I had this bright idea that if I trimmed her hair into bangs, she would not have her hair in her eyes with the possibility of pollen getting into her eyes as much. She went along with it but when she saw it she hated it and this morning (mon) decided to cut them all the way off. Yeah anyway we chatted about that. Ta Ta for now.

Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all those Dad's who have touched our lives. Each one has touched us in a special way. A special Happy Father's Day to Grandpa Taylor who keeps us jumping with his loving, teasing, personality. To Our Grandpa Barton who never had a daughter of his own and who now has 2 daughters-in-Law, and 4 beautiful granddaughters. He is so loving and gentle with them and they love to go see the horses with him.
Happy Father's Day to Daddy (Ward)!!! Has always smiled quietly to himself as he watches in amazement his girls growing and learning. We love our Dad. Morgan and her sisters worked very hard on a special slide show for their Daddy, and I am going to see if I can figure out how to post it. Of course I can't so I will have to take some time to figure it out. Watch for it in the future.
Thank you to my DH for all the loving memories he has helped us to create. We love being with him and basically are totally content just to be together as a family doing nothing.

Zoo Crew
Ok, so it takes me so long to change music and post pics that I all most avoid it. Anyway, because of gas prices, we decided to go to Park City as our Family Vacation this summer. We had a blast. We are still planning other things like camping and trying to make it to the Harward Family Reunion. But anyway we went to Westgate with my brother, and the Szabo's. We also went to the zoo. Also in this pic selection, I am going to include my Mother's Day gift, well one of a few. Enjoy. Well I am having issues with posting pics at the moment. I will have to use photo bucket. Ok so I had way too many pics to post at once so the rest like My Mothers Day gift will just have to wait.

We are up and running
Hello Everyone!!!! We made our move and are up and running. We are going to love our ward. We have already met the bishopric, the RS Pres and a ton of neighbors. We ended up at the last min. taking a nice home in Orem that my Cousin-in-law had. The house we were going to get before ended up falling through. Anyway, it is for the better. This house is perfect for us and we are really glad to have it now. We had the opportunity to get this one in the first place, but chose the smaller house. When that fell through at the last min. we had to make a fast move. We truly feel that the lord blessed us with this house and the ward. We are really happy here. We are renting it from my Cousin temporarily but will purchase it soon. I just can't say it enough how happy we are. I will post pics asap. Now I just have to get us all organized. Oh and the kids love their new school. They have also made several friends, and my friend Karen Waugh and her husband live so close that the kids could walk to their house and play with their girls. Well, tata for now. We do have a home phone it is also hooked up. Lots of Love.

Mourning Monday
I said good bye to one of my friends today. Nan's funeral was today. I will miss her dearly. She touched every life she came in contact with. Nan was the kind of friend who found a way to be there for her friends and family no matter what. She had a great love for children. It didn't matter if she knew them or not she loved them all. I wish I could have been there for her more this last year. Nan's passing was completely unexpected and has been a sorce of great sorrow for our family the past 4 days. Although we know we will see Nan again and we know her spirit lives on. We will miss the oppertunity to be with her in this life. We love and will miss you Nan. Until we meet again.......

Sad Day
I got a very sad call today. I found out that my Friend Nanette Holman passed a way yesterday (April 17). Most likely from a serious staph infection she had been fighting off and on for a year I think. She was married and had 3 children ranging in ages from 11-7. Her viewing is Sunday and funeral is Monday.

Catch up Again
Hello,
I have been so busy. So much has gone on in such a short time. Easter was great, my whole family including my Dad and his wife came for Easter and so did Wards. We had a good time. I had a ton to do at work. I was trying to meet a deadline and finally finished. Thus once I got home and we got dinner over I was dead. I also hit the burn out point and was about to collapse with exhaustion. I tried to pump up the vitamins, but due to stress I couldn't sleep and just got worse. Finally I went to the Dr. and he gave me meds for anxiety, sleeplessness, and asthma/allergies. I am glad to say I am getting more strength each day. Lucky for me I have a sit down job. We also are in the process of buying a house in Orem. We were supposed to stay here for 4 years but that all back fired. It is a long story. We had to go and do some work on the house yesterday so FHA would approve the loan. We hope to close this week or next. This process has been going on for about a month now and I just didn't want to say anything until I was pretty sure it was all going to work out. I will keep you all posted. Our whole family is very excited to be back in Orem. It is half way for Ward and for I as far as our drive to work. I am starting to pack yet again. I absolutely hate moving. I know you would think different but I do hate it with a passion. Tata for now.

Manic Monday
We have had one busy week. Ward had two Dr. appts today. His blood level is normal so now he only has to take the Coumadin. He has to stay on that for 6 months. I have been trying to catch up on laundry and house cleaning. Thanks to Jessica I have all most made it. Hope all is well. Gotta run.

He is home
Hello,
To my surprise Ward got to come home. I called him at lunch today and he told me he could come home. Thankfully my Jessica was here and was able to get him home for me. I was at work. He has to have injections of blood thinners twice a day for 5 more days. We have a friend who is a home health nurse and is willing to help us with that. Neither of us are excited about administering shots. The Dr. said the blood clots are very small and in the outer most lobes. Ward will be on coumidan for 6 months. He also can't get on his four wheeler or bicycle at all this summer. He was pretty bummed out about that. He will need to be careful to not get cut or any type of trauma. Thanks for all your love and support.

Update 2 on Ward
Ward is still doing good. They had him up and walking around the hospital for about an hour today. We also found someone who can give him his shots if he wants to come home with him. If he doesn't bring them home then he has to stay until Sat. So we will probably know more on Thurs. when he sees the Dr. again. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.

Update on Ward
Ok the girls and I spent a good portion of the day at the hospital with Ward today. He isn't hooked up to any oxygen or to the bp machine. He is doing really well and they let him get up and shower on his own today. He is also free to use the restroom at his lezure. He looks really good. The Dr. said he could come home on Wednesday if we administer the shots ourselves. We chose to let him stay in until Thursday so the nurses could do that. I am gone at least 11 hours a day with work and all so we would be cutting it close as it is. The shots are given every 12 hr. He is still his normal self. I think they will do a CT Scan tomorrow. Hopefully the clots with have dissolved by then. I let the girls stay home today, and they really loved being with Daddy. Poor little Sara heard me come home lastnight at 2 AM an just bawled and bawled. I didn't give her any reason to worry however she was very concerned and just couldn't relax about it. We had a prayer together and I showed her a pic of Daddy on my phone and that seemed to help. She really had issues leaving him at the hospital tonight. We should all be on our normal schedule tomorrow. Keep up your prayers. We should have him home on Thurs. Thanks for your love and support.

Manic Monday

Ok Poor Ward. Here is the aftermath of his surgery. He did great. The shoulder turned out better than expected. The Doc removed 1 cm of the collar bone and scraped away the bone spurs. Ward was lucky, there were no tears to anything. He has decided that versed is some trippy drugs. The poor guy had some right sided pain under his rib cage lastnight, but after some Ex-Lax, tums, and sleep the pain has subsided. He also most likely pulled a muscle due to the fact that he cannot get out of bed easily or out of the tub to that matter. He seems to be getting a long well at the moment. We have had an interesting week with Wards surgery, and me having to replace my windshield yet again. I believe that someone threw something at my car while headed south on the I-15. I just replaced the windshield two weeks ago after the huge snow storm. Pic to follow. I am also starting full-time at Alpine Pediatrics. I will still be off 3 days a week. Happy week to all.
