Landon Scott's ridiculous arrival

This little guy decided to make a grand appearance into the world. He came rolling in like a freight train!

The past couple weeks we have had to remodel the bathroom because of a big leak. The timing was horrible, but we pushed through and I told myself that as long as I had a functioning bathroom by the time our little guy arrived then it would be okay.

Monday night we had about 40sq ft of tile to put in. Brian cut the tile and I put it in. It was one of the least strenuous nights in the remodel so I wasn't expecting anything. We finished at 10:30, watched a show and went to bed around 11:30. At 1:30 I woke up from a contraction. Then another one came 3 min later. I turned to Brian and told him that I thought I was in labor. He grunted at me and rolled over.

At 1:45 I told him that we probably needed to go to the hospital. Which was crazy. I only had a few contractions, but they were really strong. Since it was 10 days before my due date I had nothing packed. We threw some stuff in bags, called Emily at a ridiculous hour and went to go drop the kids off.

By the time we dropped the kids off at 2:30 my contractions were a minute long and 2 minutes apart. I was starting to get worried that I wouldn't be able to have an epidural...

I think it was about 2:45 when I was in the labor room and hooked up to an iv when they checked to see where I was at. When the nurse hurried and left without saying anything, I just knew...she came back in and told me I was at a 9 and that I wouldn't be able to get an epidural. That pretty much freaked me out.

Thankfully my dr arrived shortly after that and helped me through it all. I just wanted to close my eyes until the whole thing was over. She coached me through it and 3 contractions later I had my new little boy. Only 2 hours of contractions...

I was in complete shock at how quickly things progressed...I'm still in shock. Now I'm worried the next baby will come when I sneeze!

February

I have been a blogging failure lately. Life just gets away from me. First I will start with February. This month didn't bring us a whole lot towards the end. It took us several weeks to recover from our trip to California. The weather here was still dang cold and windy so we spent most of our time inside entertaining ourselves. Here are some wonderful pictures of our goofy selves.

He was upset
I did not force this. Zoe probably did
This girl loves her fashion sense
Hanging with Dad because he'll give her whatever she wants

Disneyland day 2

I don't have as many pictures for this day because my kids went a little nuts. They were so tired from the day before.

Red driving down the street

Right before the live Disney jr show

Basically Zoe's favorite treat...turkey leg...

Pure joy

Riding the rockets

Disneyland parade. My favorite part was of course Mickey playing the drums

This is why day 2 was not my favorite. 5:30 hit and Zoe was in shambles. Wanted nothing and wanted no one. She just cried and kept hitting me. So of course I got a quick laugh in and then promptly took her back to the hotel. Thankfully she and I both slept for 14 hours.

Disneyland! Day 1

Disneyland...my oh my. The first day was pretty dang awesome. The kids really had no clue what the heck Disneyland was. Then Blake saw Mickey walking down the street and he was pretty dang excited.

We had a pretty big group of us. 18 or so and we were lucky enough to get the military tickets. 3 days for 130. Not too bad. The first day we spent entirely at California adventure. Blake was able to ride almost anything. The sad part was that he was like a centimeter short to ride the radiator springs cars. They do not give you any leeway. I was pretty sad about it.

Zoe LOVED seeing the characters. That girl had a huge smile on her face. Daisy even went up and gave her a hug. That was probably the highlight of her life.

Right before we entered the park. Since we were goings 2 days in a row we got a hotel right across the street

Here the adults are acting like kids and Zoe just thinks we're weird

Casa de la tires...seems cool until you actually ride it...

Blake and cousin jake

Zoe just wanted to talk to him

Probably one of Blake's favorite rides...grandma's scooter

She could not wait to get on

It took Blake a little while to understand that we had to wait in line.

Ice cream!

Bugs land. We rode these rides too many times to count

Blake's favorite ride. Pretty much anything that he was allowed to drive was at the top of his list

I was worried that Zoe wouldn't take a nap, but thankfully my mom got her to sleep

The color of wonder show (i think that's what it's called) it was pretty dang sweet. One of my favorite parts

Blake loved it when the color red showed up

All tuckered out. They even let me change them into pajamas and then went right back to sleep. I've never seen them so tired.

Christmas!!!

I wanted to have a quieter Christmas this year with all the craziness the past few months. So it was just us for Christmas Eve and most of Christmas Day. Christmas Eve started with opening pajamas for the kids. I was a slacker and didn't make matching ones this year.

Then we had our nerf fight! The kids loved it. Zoe preferred not getting hit though

Then Brian read the nativity from the scriptures. I used the fisher price nativity to act along with it.
Then we sent the kids to bed and set up the presents. These are just from my parents. To say they go overboard is an understatement...
Zoe's present. I love how it turned out!
Brian carefully setting up Blake's present
Zoe loved her dolls. She carries them around everywhere
Blake and Brian putting together a puzzle
We love despicable me in this house. Thanks Kathryn!

Blake wanted us to make him a sandwich so he could use his sandwich holder...
She's really happy inside
Taking a nap with her baby
So cute

Blake has taken over the shopping cart

The kids were very spoiled! We loved having our own little Christmas together! I can't wait for next year!
