Tanner and I got a new car, a '06 VW Jetta tdi. I love it, T had to teach me how to drive it (a stick) but I LOVE it now, especially how much our monthly fuel bill has gone down!

 Then we took Taylor's camera out and took some pix of ourselves... yes weird, but good practice for some pix we took of other people.

 Then Renee and I took Sof and Ella to the Pioneer Day parade and called Cris and met up with him and Shay. I figured it was the only time I'd get to go to the parade, since I hadn't been in the 5 years I've lived here. The girls LOVED it and were quite amused with Cris.

 A lady next to us had popsicles for her kids and heard Sof and Ella whining for one so she shared with them.

 Yes, sitting on that ground was AMAZINGLY disgusting but my legs could not stand any longer, we had to have a major wash up when we got to Cris' for lunch!

Summer

this summer Tanner's cousins came and stayed for a couple days and we had a birthday party for one of them.

Make A Wish

Renee volunteers for Make A Wish and John Hughes is an old room mate of Cris' who's 3 year old daughter, Erin,  has (well now had) Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Cris and Renee were able to help her get a wish granted through MAW. Before they went to Disneyland to "meet the princesses" MAW (aka Renee, who was in charge of her wish) had a going away Ball for Erin. Tanner and I were the "official" photographers for the event.

Our friend, Rand, had connections to someone who had a horse drawn carriage that was able to come up to Logan and take Erin on a ride.

 Cris was the only guy that dressed up and so he was Princess Erin's Prince Charming. She was SO excited to see him and the first thing she told him was "Look, I have hair now." It had been awhile since Cris has seen her.

 Her specially made dress from a relative of Steve's I believe and Erin's mom Jill's hairdresser's mother (or some crazy connection like that.)

Decorating cookies was one of the activities. This is her sister Cecily.

 The only thing she wanted for her party was to blow out birthday candles. Mom and Dad provided the yummy ice cream cake.

 This is Cris and Erin, and she's laughing b/c Cris kept saying "hot dog" which is a game between them that he used to do with her in the hospital when she was getting treatments to distract her.

 Afterwards the Hughe's came over to Nikki's house for a BBQ.

 Bet you won't believe this, but one of Nicole's kids pretending some random object is a gun.

Lilroses Visit

Katy Micah and Emmett came up in June to visit. They came for Sunday dinner and T and I and Laree took some fam photos of them, most of which I cannot find but they're on facebook.

 Then we went up to Logan

 Katy and I drove up to Idaho and ran into an unusual traffic jam.

 Brigham was quite fond of little Emmett and was so cute to watch with him.

 Brigham thought it would be a good idea to squirt Gpa with a water gun...

 Driving back to UT we stopped at Katy and Micah's hotel and Mems took a little swim.

 Ruth and Emmett came again on Saturday and went swimming and watched fireworks. I had a photoshoot with Mem then too, but can't find those either.

 Mom and Dad were staying with Cris before they flew back home, so we had Sunday dinner at his house.

 We all went outside to see the amazing sunset. Cris has the best view of SLC from the road in front of his apt.
