Pumpkin Patch trips and Harvest Party!

I like that the school has an early Halloween festival because it forces me to get costumes ready and pictures done before the main event!

Owen was a Blue Power Ranger last year.  This year he wanted to be the Black Power Ranger but I talked him out of his "vanilla" suggestion and at least talked him in to being a Transformer.....ugh.

Averi has been excited to be Hannah Montana.  Mostly because of the wig and boots.  She said it is perfect for her because if she wants to be Miley Cyrus, all she has to do is take off the wig.

She informed me that she wants to be a Doctor, a Teacher and a Pop STAR when she grows up. Oooooh sounds like I'm gonna be RICH!!

I know, I know, I'm the worst mom ever for making my kid wear a turtle hat.  He was NOT impressed.  He cheered up quickly when he saw the big yellow slide at the school.

We met up with the Peyton Clan and headed over to the festivities!

Why do I look like I haven't slept in days and I am 100 years old....sad.  Aimee and I vowed to be in more pictures since moms are always taking them and never in them.  This was a bad day to start.  Note to self: you are not 16 anymore and your glow is gone....re-apply the makeup dear.:)

When we got home, Adam and Owen built this cool cup tower.  Owen thinks this is one of his special talents (ever since seeing it on "Cool Tricks" on Yo Gabba Gabba)

Owen's Preschool Pumpkin Patch TRIP!

Wade was trying to eat the pumpkin like an apple...

Averi's 1st Grade Pumpkin Patch Trip!!
Aimee and I decided to split up the field trips this year.  So, I watch Jacob this time while she went along with the girls.  Averi had so much fun.  Thanks for the pics Aimee!!

Averi apparently had a major obsession with this cat.

How the other side lives....

On Saturday, I had an engagement photo session (if you wanna check it out click HERE) in Santa Monica. Lindsay and Keith invited us to a fabulous dinner in Beverly Hills!
I met them there straight from my photo session so obviously, after ordering, I needed to "powder my nose"
Well, this is what I found... (angels singing)

I really don't want to get into too much detail but the bottom line is, it was scary but I had to try it:D! I went to open the lid and AHHHH! Alas...it opened for me "well, hello mr toilet seat".
Lets just say...
Auto lid opener
heated seat,
bidet (did you ever realize that is how you spell it?)
DRYER
pressure change, position of bidet change....the list goes on and on...
I was giggling to myself about how simple my life is as I sat on that warm seat.
Then, the real challange was to act COOL and nonchalant as I RACED back to the table to give Adam, Lindsay and Keith FULL DETAIL:)
Who did I find sitting right next to me at the other table? You GOT IT!
LARRY KING!

Just when you think you make ends meet and do okay in life, you realize that there is a whole other world out there that eats at fancy restaurants every night and sits on warm, cleaning, drying toilet seats.....
Food for thought:)
I still dream about the meal that night...seriously.

Playing in the back yard...

My kids are often looking pretty scraggly by mid-day...but I love them just the same!

More soccer...and a little posing:)

Averi is ALL girl. She loves posing and making it look candid. I sometimes catch her practicing a pose in the mirror.

Averi wanted me to snap some pics of her and Kylee with wardrobe change and all.

Aimee grabbed these cute photos from Soccer and I had to steal them! Too Cute! Go Shooting Stars!

The party that never stops!

These 2 Rip Roarin' couples.....(okay really just the gals), keep wooing us with their fun "themed" parties!

Uh Jenni, Sarah said that Aaron left one if his four pairs of gloves and that sweet jean vest.....:)

Thanks for letting me steal your pics Sarah and Jenni. Adams Wranglers were way to tight to fit a camera:)

LA County Fair

This place holds a lot of nastalgia for me. We went as a family every year growing up. It is a right of passage from Summer to Fall. It is the first place that I discovered my love for all things "infomercial" (RIP Billy Mayes:(
Absolutely endless head cut outs....I mean seriously everything from a cow to a snow cone. Just wooden boards painted that quitely beckon you to stick your head through. Who knows what the one above is. I can't even remember.
Averi is practicing her fine art of posed candids.

Then it is off to the petting barn where you place your kids in a kennel full of hungry mean goats...Ah the fair.

My boys.

Yep more cut-outs and a little sibling rivalry.

Wade saying "mouf, mouf" and then pointing. Then, "nose, nose".

Then it is off to officially block your arteries. Look at that fair food. AMAZING! I took about 10 tums that night....ugh.
Pure Joy!! Thanks Keith and Linz for coming with us!!
