Coffee Anyone?

After a year or so of lurking at Coffee Lover's blog hops, I finally decided to enter a card. I used a new coffee cup die, I purchased a few months ago by Couture Creations Intricutz Dies. Also, I used a Unity Stamps sentiment that came with the Bountiful Owl sentiment kit last Fall. I also opened a die set that I had for awhile, it's an Amy Tangerine and the pumpkin spice sentiment fit perfectly on the tag die. Yes, I am one of those people who enjoy pumpkin spice and not just in my coffee. I just love how this card came together.

I recently moved, so it's been fun finding some of my crafty goodies and some I haven't seen in awhile. I still have a ways to go, and I can organize and de-stash. You surely do not know how much you have until you move it!

Firsts 2016

I  purchased  this lovely Unity stamp  set back in September  when I  was at Bellacon15 at Mall of America. We used it in our mixed media class and I thought it would be a great addition  to make some awesome art. It took me this long  to get it out and use it. After seeing the quick  tag video from  Unity I had to see if I   could  create one myself. I  decided  to emboss with white embossing  powder and then I sponged marigold, lipstick and barn door disress inks on the flower. I  used tea dye distress ink on the background of the tag. I  tried stamping and embossing  the sentiment  on the tag, but it didn't  work  out. So I cut out a die cut and stamped and embossed that with copper ep. I distressed that with tea dye, lipstick and marigold. Adding some texture paste mixed with glitter stickles using a stencil Rebekah  Meier Designs stencil.  I have yet to figure  out what to use as the tie.

Kindness

Like many crafters, I enjoy sharing what I make with others.  I recently made paper bag albums with a Halloween theme for two little girls I know. I sent them in the mail, so they would get happy mail.  One arrived one day and the other the next day.  Next time I need plan a little better. Kids get a little disappointed when one receives something and they don't.  

Now Jennifer McGuire has started a Share Handmade Kindness campaign. Encouraging everyone to make something and share it with others. It can be a card, a baked item, a letter, anything handmade. Last night I came across this Riley Funny Bones sentiment stamp that Mitchell encouraged me to buy quite awhile ago. Suddenly I was inspired to create a card using the Pebbles Happy Day paper and the coffee cup die I got a few months ago.  Here  is  the card I  came up with last night. Isn't this a great sentiment ?  So perfect for your coffee and wine drinking friends!

Oh and I just have to share the Halloween albums, here the larger one is still in progress, I did add more ribbon. :)

A Little Mojo

Wow it's  been  awhile. I  saw the Mojo Monday 405  sketch  and  thought it was one I could  easily use. I decided  to go summery, recalling that I  had some flip flop printed  paper. Then I  also realized  I  had a Unity flip flop stamp and Unity sentiment  stamp that would work well. So Friday night after a 2 hour nap I proceeded  to get creative and come up with a card to enter.

The other  side of the flip flop paper is a nice fuchsia  grid, so I   included  that as well. I finished  the flip flop flowers  with some glitter  and stickles. I also used stickles for the flower  center. Here is the card I came up with. I  can see using this sketch  again  and again.

A few weeks ago I was introduced  to Pocket Page Letters on the Unity Show and Tell Facebook  page. So after  watching  several  YouTube  videos  I started  creating   a pocket  letter. I  got a fewhole creative gals from my friends and family  interested  in swapping  a pocket  letter. So looking forward  to everyone's creativity.

Unity Stamp's Monthly Be Inspired Challenge

Haven't been entering challenges as much as I had hoped.  My laptop hasn't been working for awhile and really do not have the $$ to do much about it right now. I do a little bit of Facebook on my phone and head to the library when I want to make a special post or check my email.  I am hoping posting a photo won't be too difficult, as I have saved one of my cards to my Google drive.  

This time I decided to enter the sketch challenge. It's amazing how a sketch or a color scheme gives you the mojo you need to create.  I just love my Unity stamps!  This one is from some that my dear friend Carolyn Bounds sent me. Carolyn also sent me the cloud diecuts and I thought they'd be perfect for this card. This challenge goes until May 13, for more information and inspiration go to Unity Be Inspired Challenge.
