It is Summer Time!

 When we go to the Lake, it is one of the best feelings to prove that it is summer time! I love spending time at the lake! We went this last Saturday and Monday (yes my blog is finally caught up) :) I have so much fun with Amy and Jayson! Their friend Heather and her kids came too! So much fun! I have had some trainings and classes this month, so I am super excited to play the rest of the summer!

This was the cake adventure! I'm going to preface that my friend Sarah and I have no experience with making cakes... this was our idea and we just did it. For a ward activity we had gone bowling and all the people that were bowling on our 2 lanes decided to make a bet (for dinner of course). So when we did the dinner night Sarah and I decided to make a bowling ball cake! It turned out okay and it was a fun adventure!

Spring Break

 For Spring Break in March I went to the Condo in Las Vegas- it is such a nice and easy get away! We really only relaxed by the pool and the lazy river and hung out and watched movies. Amy & Aiden and Tarah came down with me. While we were there my cousins Janelle and Karalee came to play with their cute kids! We had  a blast! I love vacations!

Happy Birthday

 Happy Birthday to Alisha on Feb 18th and Happy Birthday to me on Feb 20th! Mom made a delicious dessert-thanks Mom!

 Sarah and I went out to dinner at the Pasta Factory- on e of my favorite places! I forgot to get a picture but on my real birthday (no work-yeah) and I went out to dinner with Amy and Jayson and Mom and Dad. It was so fun to have just the five of us at Sakura. Good times and good laughs!

 Later that week we had a birthday party with our friends for Scott and I. Scott's birthday is on Feb 23rd. It was fun to get the friends together! :)

Ok- Here is a hilarious story for you! :) My co-worker and friend, Shauna-who teaches kindergarten with me, had this lovely man Pierre in my classroom on Tuesday morning. When I walked in and saw him I just couldn't stop laughing! Shauna came in and told me she got me a man for my birthday! He hung out in the corner all day- everyone in the building pretty much had to come and meet Pierre and the kids thought it was funny. 

Later, my friends and I decided to pass Pierre around! We left him at our friend Kallie's house (on her bed) when she was out of town will a love note (2 of our guy friends wrote). The note was hilarious- I'll have to see if I can find a copy of it. Kallie then left him in the bathroom and scared about all 6 of her roomies. It was great to hear all of the fun adventures Pierre got experience. The prank kind of died after that... maybe we will have to start it up later when our friends least expect it.

5K

In February, some of my favorite ladies from work talked me into doing a 5K. It was so much fun we had a blast and took it easy! Go Bloomington Teachers! :) Charise, Lisa, Shauna, Shelly, & Emily.

Weekend Getaway

 My roommate Courtney and I decided that in January we wanted a mini vacation. I love it when I can get the Condo in Vegas. I was shocked when it was open that weekend. So we booked it! It was so nice to hit the hot tub at night and do a little shopping and exploring. We went to the shark reef-- pretty cool. It was a  great relaxing weekend and we did take time to watch the Office. :)

Bring in 2012

Bring in the New Year (2012).....  In San Fransisco! It was so much fun to be somewhere traveling the world on New Years! My good friend, Keena, invited me to join her and her two friends (Caralyn & Shiree). It was a blast! We were only there a few days, but got to see and do many things! We stayed at the Baldwin hotel and it was a half a block out of China Town. We took a little boat ride around Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate Bridge. Jake is our friend we met on the airplane, he hung out with us that day until his buddies got into town. He was from Southern California. On New Years Eve, the fireworks were amazing by the ocean. There were tons (streets were packed) of people. On the way back to our hotel we met Varun and Ken. We stayed up most of the night and went to dinner with them. It was fun to make new friends. Shiree found out from a friend that we needed to eat at a place called Sam Wo (it was in China Town). It was literally a hole in the wall place, but it was amazing food! You walked in the kitchen and then upstairs, the waitress barely spoke English, but what an experience. It was a fun adventure! Sears and Food was a great place for breakfast- we ate there twice. The Ghirardelli place was neat, we had to have a dessert there! The dessert reminded me of our Europe trip-- yummy! Shiree introduced us to Aerosoles for buying shoes. I think all of us bought a pair of new boots and they are so comfortable! We loved riding the trolley system around town and walking everywhere! This trip was a great way to start 2012- thanks ladies for sharing in my adventure!
