Today I rock at life. I am really proud of myself. I ran 2 miles without stopping!! Now, to the normal person this is probably not a big deal. But for me? I have never liked running and I've never really done it before. But I'm getting better at it and today was a big day for me. I was so nervous I wouldn't be able to do it. But I did! I rock!
I would just like to thank my trainer couch to 5k. My eyebrows for keeping the sweat out of my eyes. Katy Perry, K-dollar-sign-huh, and One direction for the encouraging words while I ran. Thank you. I couldn't have done it without you.

Smash
When I was in high school I used to perform all the time. I would perform in choir and in theater. I miss it so much! If we're being honest with our lives I was never amazing. I was always the chorus with the occasional solo or with a line here and there. I did have one major role when I played the role of the Mom in Yellow Boat. It was all acting. I never thought my largest role would have been an acting role.
Well like I said I really never had anything big in performances. But I still loved it. I was so happy to be up on stage even if I was in the background. I just had so much fun performing and pretending I knew how to dance. Good thing I had four years of dance classes or I would have been in bad shape! Any way. I miss performing. I've still done choir which I love but I do miss being up on stage.
The point of all of this is my new favorite TV show Smash. I love it! It's my favorite show to watch while I run on the treadmill. Yes you read that right I've started running. I love it too in case you were wondering. Any way sometimes when I watch this show I feel like I'm on stage again. I guess I live through the actors and actresses of this show. Happens! Any way this song came on today and I wanted to post it to my blog because it is great. Maybe you have to know the background of the play they are writing in the show but I thought the blocking and dancing in it was brilliant I love it!

New Year
I stopped watching Glee a while ago but I'd by lying if I didn't admit that I look up the music on youtube every once in a while. I found this song and I love it. The original is great too. It's a New Year and it's never too late to start making the most of it! One month down 11 to go.
These are my goals for the year. I haven't been perfect this month but every day is a new day and as my host mom Liuda would say Tomorrow will be better!

Year In Review
Top 12 favorite things that happened in my life in 2012 in no particular order.
1. Graduated from Utah State University with my degree in Social Work.
2. Got my Ukulele. I love it!
3. Finished my internship at the Child and Family Support Center.

5. Went to Disneyland. The Happiest Place on Earth!
6. I got into Grad School at the University of Utah.
7. Finished my job at the Aggie Connection at Utah State University. These are the girls that I supervised with.
8. Traveled to 6 Different countries. My passport is very decorated!

10. Hunger Games! I love these books and I loved seeing the movie! I finished the series on my drive back from Poland to Ukraine. Best drive ever!

12. Director at Oakcrest LDS Girls Camp. Sometimes I still can't believe that one happened! Never would have ever dreamed that up! This is the Directorship....
.... and this is my amazing staff. Miss them!
2012 was so good to me. Probably one of the best years I've ever had. I met amazing people and I grew as a person. I am so blessed. I'm excited to see what 2013 has to offer!

Mission Accomplished!
Yesterday I went on a 22 mile bike ride at Antelope island. It was the worst best idea I ever had! Confident that when they advertised it as family friendly their should have been a caution underneath that advertisement saying it wasn't Chelsea friendly. I thought I was going to die!

The half way point FINALLY came!!! Not going to lie before this moment I contemplated many times just turning around to the start line instead of making the loop. I even stopped at one point for a water break and looked around me to see how many people would see me give up. But I really had to go to the bathroom and I could tell I was almost there so I pressed forward!

I may have a permanent implant of my bike seat on my bum and my knees may feel like they should be on an 89 year old grandma's body but I'm proud of myself that I didn't give up!

The Mormon Miracle Pageant
Yesterday I went down to Manti for the wonderful Mormon Miracle Pageant. It was a blast and a half! We went to the Craft fair and Jeni found this wonderful hat. I always knew she should have been a blond.
I love snow cones! We got some grommet snow cones that had ice cream in them they were delicious!

During the performance they had a live Moroni... confident I would have peed my pants because it would be so scary to be on top of the temple! But at the same time how cool would it be to be up there.
This was my favorite scene. When Christ comes to visit the people in the Americas. How great will be the day when he shall come again!
