Here we go again....2013

WEll, here we are at the beginning of a new year.  So much happened in 2012 that was amazing.  I lost track of blogging and did not get it all recorded.  One of my goals for sure this year is to blog as a journal and post my pics here so I can make a book at the end of each year and not forget a thing!

Halli turned 12!
We bought a house finally after appartment living for 3 years.
We had our newest family member Crew on april 25th 2012
Family vacations included  the beach and Disneyland
Other wise we just enjoyed the journey and it was such a great year.  I am so looking forward to what 2013 has in store for us.  I am sure we will see in the days and weeks ahead.

70 deg. In December! - project 366 (3)

It's Christmas break! The weather has been so beautiful, today it's 70 deg. We are at the park without jackets having a bawl!!! This is one of the reasons I love California :)

We're playing games for family home evening tonight and the kids are having so much with "Let's go fishing'" it's so cute. I love how they all play so well together even though there is such an age difference.

Project 366 -1/1/ 2012 (1)

I have been very bad about blogging. This year we are having so many great changes and I want to document it all. Starting project 366 today!! I will post a pic every day for this whole year. I am very excited about it! Today is a self portrait pic of my ever growing belly! I am 25 weeks today with our baby boy due April 22, 2012.

Easter

Today is Easter! Yesterday we went to the egg hunt for the city of Lincoln. The kids had fun and Ethan won a special Easter basket that had a ball chalk and candy in it. Then we Senufo Jess and Chads and colored eggs and played life. We had a great day and it was a lot of fun.

This morning Steve and Marrisa came over for breakfast. We had waffles/buttermilk syrup (homemade) fruit and bacon. Yum! Then we went to church. I cried at least 3 times. The spirit was strong. I am so grateful for Christ and his sacrifice. I am grateful for the Atonement and what it means in my life. I know he knows my pain and heartache. I know he died hat we may live again, and I know he loves us. On the way home we were asking the kids what they learned at church and Brodey said , "well just about Jesus and a movie" so we asked what the movie was about and he said " well Mary didn't want Jesus to be Stanky any more". It took us a minute to figure of that he was talking about when Mary went to the tomb to take spices ! so funny what you pick up when your 3!
Halli said she felt the spirit and cried :)

Later we had dinner and flew kites at the park. Ethan loved the kites. He flew his the whole time.
I loved this day. It was a perfect Easter.

Promptings

Shortly after my Moms (La Vena Darlene Jones) Mom ( Tina ) passed away I talked with her in a dream. In this dream she sat down with me and asked me to do her temple work. I remember telling Corey about it. Well it has been about 12 years, I still have not forgotten that dream and I have been feelings promptings to do my family history. I think it mostly has been spurred by the fact that my grandpa is in a nursing home and very elderly, and my mother is in long term care as well. I do have an aunt Elaine, my moms sister who is alive and has a lot of information on my moms family. I do not know anything about. I would like to take a trip to southern California to visit her and gather information to start uncovering my family tree. I tried to do some genealogy on my mothers side and Realized I do not know when my mom was born. What my Grandmothers maiden name was, and I really need to know these things. I need to go and get this information before it is lost. I have been ignited with a spark that does not seem to rest. I called my Aunt Elaine and talk with her just a bit and expressed my interest and she said she would look through papers and help me. I am really excited to know more about my family on my mothers side.
