Skitkids - Besöket Vid Krubban (2007)

I'd think the Marshall (Lemmy) tasted his Jack Daniels as daily, and he took his crew and said that “come on guys we’re recording a Crust album!” however he included Poffen (Totalitar) for vocals, and they entered the studio suddenly. You can think what this guy is telling us. But the extremely rock’n’roll/crust dose of Skitkids causes this thought. With the great dose of adrenaline and hatred, you’ll be offered by a razor-sharp, fast, loud, funny record which is the combination of rock and roll, crustcore d-beat, thrash metal these guys performed. The vocals are reminiscent of Swedish hardcore legends Totalitar with old-styled angry screams and screeches. Great toned drum makes d-beat assault, it has powerful sound, the bass is groaning, melodic rock’n’roll leads and Fast Eddie-like guitar solos cause to lose yourself. The lyrics are based to socio-political issues with sarcastic expressions, the routine life of society, banal ideas, or criticize the punk stars of today. Classic Swedish D-Beat/Hardcore 's rock'n'roll excellence is in your blood with a high dose. Motorhead, AC/DC structured rock’n’roll solos in "Weekday Suger Rov" (like listening to Ace Of Spades) is cool, and tracks such as "Viist E Jag Lycklig", "Svinahunden" bomb you with Totalitar d-beats. Skitkids make noise for you, this is one of the best crust/rock 'n'roll records in recent years.

Systemskifte - Demo

Wilke contacted me on .shit.face.book. a while ago and told me about the band, i've never heard about them before but i really liked what i heard and am glad that he contacted me. Here's his description of the band and the download link he provided:

"Our name is Systemskifte, we play Crustpunk and come from a little swedish city called Nyköping. We started out in September 2009 and recorded this cd-r in December 2009. We're inspired by bands like Doom, Totalitär, Warsore, Ekkaia, Anti-Cimex and Crass. Our lyrics are very political. We haven't played live since may 2010 (Cos we have been practising a lot to change the sound a bit) but now in the winter we're gonna start playing live again and record our new stuff, we still play fast and we're still angry haha!"

M:40 - Industrilandskap 7''

M:40 is a crust band from Lidköping / Sweden, formed in '02. Their music is dark, depressive, rageful and melodic (sometimes) just like their citizens Skitsystem, Victims, From Ashes Rise, Totalt Jävla Mörker, Wolfbrigade, etc. This 7" is released in '08 by Halvfabrikat Records. So if you like this wave of swedish crust, just grab it.

Let's Burn Vol. 1

I consider this tape as one of the most important compilations ever made in Swedish scene. Being released in '85 and includin' bands like Mob 47, The Bristles, Trojne, Sound Of Disaster, Agoni, Total Egon, etc makes it the perfect milestone. Don't think much, if you are into any kind of swedish hc punk, you must listen to that.

Riotous & Atomvinter Split

This split is called "Barley Army split" and released especially for the Apocalyptic Crust Fest II, released both as a CD and an LP. Both bands have 10 songs here, and the whole record is about 40 minutes. Atomvinter hail from gothenburg / sweden and they haven't been around for a long time. They play quite unique crust with strong political lyrics. Riotous are from chicago / usa. They play metallic d-beat crust. The CD is printed to 300 copies and it's sold out, i'm not sure about the LP though.

Bombstrike - Äckel 7''

Bombstrike is a metallic d-beat crust band from Stockholm / Sweden. They're formed in '97 and released several demos, and records. This EP is released in '07. There are 4 songs and it's less than 8 minutes. One of the songs is a cover by the death/crust band Oral. The sound quality is pretty good, neither polished nor sucky, it's just the way it should be. Some people think Bombstrike is better than Skitsystem in that "metallic d-beat crust" thing, i think they both are great. Especially the riffs in the 2nd song Kvasiorkor, are truly amazing.

Atomvinter & Svart Snö Split 10"

Atomvinter is an anarcho d-beat / crust band from Sweden, formed in early '90's. They've released a self titled cd, a 7", this split 10" and they've taken part in Things That Make No Sense Compilation CD and Why Can't We Hate... Compilation CD. Svart Snö (Black Snow) is also from Sweden. They are formed in '87 in Stockholm. They play raw and aggressive swedish hardcore punk. They say they are influenced by bands like; Poison Idea, Discharge, MDC, Svart Framtid, Conflict, etc. The lyrics are a bit ironic and funny and about politics and social issues. Total Terror - st

Total Terror is a death metal influenced crust band from Sweden. This is a side project of the well known metal musician Dan Swanö and Edge Of Sanity members. They formed the band to drink and have a good time. They released a demo in '93, recorded and LP but never released it. And they re-recorded the songs this year again and released this LP.

Genocide Superstars - Superstar Destroyer

The band is formed in Örebro / Sweden, in '94 with the idea to get drunk, have fun and show some respect to bands like; Discharge, Motörhead, Misfits. Mieszko (rest in pieces) used to play in the band too. They play the drunk and full speed crust'n'roll.

Panzerschreck - Demo

Panzerschreck is a crust'n'roll band from Sweden. If i'm not wrong some members also play in Gadget. I guess this demo is their only released material and it is released in '06. They are influenced by bands like; Driller Killer, Martyrdöd, Anti-Cimex, Motörhead, Genocide Superstars and such. It says 56 kbps but the sound quality is equal to 320 kbps, i don't know why but the software i use to rip my audio cds is acting weird. Don't let the low mb fool you, they are heavy and great.

Avskum - In The Spirit Of Mass Destruction

Avskum is a d-beat crust band from Sweden. Formed in '82 but they haven't been around much between '84 and '97. They play the "swedish dis-core" which we know pretty well. Let me explain for those who are not familiar with the term, that is classical swedish hardcore mixed with some discharge style raw anger. Lyrics are usually about nuclear war and capitalism, i know it sounds cliché but it is not. This record is released in '00 and it is one of the best crust releases of the millenium.

This is a great legendary band from Sweden. Formed in '85 and still active to this day. This 7" is released in '02 and it's not my favorite stuff by the band but i'd like to post it, so we young people would be ashamed of ourselves haha. These people are maybe older than your parents and they can kick your and your parents' asses. So, get it punk!

Acursed - A Fascist State In Disguise

Acursed is a crust band from Sweden. Formed in late '90's. This is their first released material, in '97. The producers of this album are Mathias Lars Ake Färm (from Millencolin) and Mieszko Talarczyk (from Nasum, Krigshot, Genocide Superstars). There are 7 fast and rageful songs in that EP. If you haven't heard about Acursed before this will be a great start.

Total Terror - Demo & Unreleased LP

Another metal influenced crust band from sweden. It is a side project of the well known Dan Swanö. But unlike his all other bands this band is raw as fuck. In '93 with Edge Of Sanity members they formed this band and released a demo in the same year, in '94 they record an LP but they don't release it. This year they've decided to remaster the both records and release. But i'm going to post the older and rawer versions of them now.

Final Exit - Umeå

The band is sXe, they're formed in '87 and one of the first hardcore bands in Umeå. This is their second album, released in '97. It's raw, fast, brutal, straight to your face hardcore. They thought they were too real for that hardcore scene (what kind of a reason that is, to quit a band?) and they are not around anymore.

Ana Barata is a raw crust punk band from sweden. Influenced by bands like Totalt Jävla Mörker, Krigshot, Skitsystem. Speedergarben is a fast raw punk band from norway. There are some rock'n'roll influences in their guitar riffs and solos. This split is released in '07, can be found for a fair price in some distros.

Two great darkened d-beat crust bands from sweden. This split is released in o6. Totalt Jävla Mörker is really rageful and so is Human Waste.
